Job Description

iWin is seeking a dynamic and talented Senior/Lead game designer with experience in creating AAA titles for mobile and other handheld devices. The selected candidate will have demonstrated an ability to lead the design of numerous projects while simultaneously collaborating with multi-talented, multi-functional teams of game programmers, artists, and producers to lead and build consensus on challenging creative issues. Experience with social or mobile/social games and the free-to-play space are also important.

Primary Responsibilities & Requirements

• Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all creative design tasks for mobile games
• Manage the process of designing innovative, state-of-the-art games ranging from ports of existing games to new free-to-play games based on iWin IP.
• Create and manage Game Design Documents including game mechanics, story, level design, game flow, core loop, monetization, virality and live event planning.
• Work with existing game teams to ensure game designs stay true to the original mechanics while leveraging existing and upcoming features of mobile platforms.
• Perform competitive analysis and design features to outperform existing games in the market.
• Maintain and keep current on industry knowledge of successful genres, performance metrics, pricing strategies, marketing opportunities, and mechanics.
• Provide and maintain expertise on mobile platform standards, requirements, submission processes, and platform changes.
• Review, evaluate, and provide input for game designs submitted from external game developers.
• Work with other functional managers within the management matrix to ensure timely delivery of games.
• Reports to the Vice President of Creative.

Qualified and Interested Candidates

• A high level of creativity with extensive knowledge of the mobile game industry and game development.
• Experience in casual and social game development is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in game design across multiple platforms, and 2-3 years of experience in mobile game design
• A complete understanding and extensive experience in the planning, production and development of games.
• Experience managing the design of multiple projects in development. Management of outsourced games is a plus.
• Project management, process management, and strong creative problem solving skills.
• Able to fit well within an informal environment and to provide hands-on management, including prototyping, building levels, and entering data to affect gameplay.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must possess high level of enthusiasm and be a strong team player.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Must be a self-starter who can take initiative to drive the product design process.

Hours and Compensation:

• Full Time
• Compensation commensurate with experience.
