Remember when you used to rush home from trick-or-treating and pour all your candy out on the floor to see what all you got? (Sitting on the living room floor in front of the tv.)

What was the first candy you always ate, and the last kind you always had left?

I always ate the Tootsie Rolls first. Weeks later, the last candies left were always the ones wrapped in the orange and black wax paper. They were my least favorite. But, when push came to shove, and that was all that was left, I loved them. lol Aren't kids funny. Ah, the good ol' days.

Hey, Rose. Love your Monster Mash link on your 13th floor door. Now, it has replaced Vincent Price in my head. Gr8 room.

What I remember is my parents and older siblings going through my take, and picking out all the good stuff. I was odd, I always liked receiving fruit. Thanks emcall for compliment to 13th floor, its my master piece, but, thats just my opinion.

I would sit on my bed and spread the candy out into piles of the same thing.
I liked popcorn balls and cookies and cupcakes - homemade treats, but that was back in the day when it was safe to eat homemade stuff.
I remember the wax paper wrapped, orange and black taffys, peanut butter chews or salt water taffy.
When I was living down in the Central Valley I had a lot of Mexican friends and they had cool candy like sugar skulls and bones!!
Did your teacher let you chew gum the day after Halloween?

Technically, there are the SHOWCASE threads in Hotel iWin Lobby and Halloween would fit under Themed rooms but because this is our first Halloween in Hotel iWin, I will start a Special Edition Thread for Halloween Rooms in the Hotel iWin Lobby. Does this work for everybody? I think it would be fabulous but then it's just my opinion.

Lets hope everyone is as mature and understanding as emcall.

We all come from very DIFFERENT backgrounds so lets embrace our differences and enjoy getting to know one another.

What I meant was "rabid fundamentalist" as opposed to sane fundamentalist. I wasn't saying that all fundamentalists are rabid. Maybe I should have capitalized it?

Kudos to everyone - all the Halloween rooms are wonderful !! Just goes to show what a creative group we have on Hotel Iwin. I'm always amazed at the different uses people put items to - things that would never cross my mind. Have to admit I'm guilty of pinching the odd idea or three! LOL My Halloween room is on the second level - I'd love for some feedback (please be kind!!)

AS THERE ARE ONLY 14 DAYS REMAINING UNTIL HALLOWEEN THIS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE MY LAST POST ON THIS PARTICULAR THREAD. SINCE I'M EMOM AND NOT GENE SIMMONS I CAN NO LONGER HOLD MY TONGUE, I HAVE RETURNED HERE TO EXERCISE MY RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH. THE DIFFERENCE BEING I'D LIKE TO DO THIS IN SONG. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION BUT MAYBE HAD THE BEATLES BEEN MEMBERS HERE AT IWIN AND HOTEL; I THINK MAYBE THEIR TAKE ON THE SONG "COME TOGETHER" PERHAPS MAY HAVE BEEN A LITTLE LIKE MY HALLOWEEN VERSION. I CALL IT MY ONE LAST DITCH EFFORT FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS AND COSTUMES. AKA(COME TOGETHER) AND IT GOES LIKE THIS ...: .....: WE'LL TAKE A FLAT TOP....WE'LL SAY HOLY MOLY....WE NEED JOO-JOO EYEBALL...OR A DERBY ROLLER,................COUS- IN..IT'S HAIR...BE-LOW OUR KNEES....OR BAT-MANS JOKER...PLEASE I-WIN PLEASE...COME TO-GETHER RIGHT NOW ...HALLOWEEN. (IMAGINE MUSIC) ( VERSE): GET UNDERDOG AS SHOESHINE...OR JOE NA-MATH'S FOOTBALL....WE GOT MON-KEY FINGERS...NOT A NEW MINK STOLE-A...WE SAY WE KNOW YOU,....BUT YOU WON'T KNOW ME....ONE THING I CAN TELL YOU IS HAP-PY HALLOWEEN. COME TOGHETHER RIGHT NOW HALLOWEEN. ( VERSE): QUEEN OF SE-DUC-TION.. .GET WAL-RUS SNOW-BOOT...WE'VE GOT DARTS AND DARTBOARD....WE NEED VAM-PIRE- TRACK-ER....WE WANT BIG FEET AND KNOBBY KNEES...A HAUNTED ARM-CHAIR....OH PLEASE I-WIN PLEASE. COME TO-GETHER RIGHT NOW.... HALLOWEEN. (VERSE): BE HAUNT-ED TOASTER...BE A POISON WARNING...BUY SOME MUD-DY WATER...OR A NEW CROP WIL-TER.....HE SAY ONE EYE... ONE HORN... PUR-PLE PEEP....MAY-BE SOME HIP BOOTS CUZ IT'S GETT -IN' SO DEEP.. .COME TO-GETHER RIGHT NOW....HALLOWEEN !!!

Don't kid yourselves, guys. Those flamingos do what Val tells them to do.
They have been around from the beginning, with her. Look at her lower floors,
She just sets up these little scenes, because she does not want to admit that she is in fact a flamingoholic.
In her right mind, she would never let those birds peck your cursor.
Sorry, Val. I couldn't keep your secret any longer.

OMG!!!! emom. It is now 5:40am in my little world, and I just woke my dear sweet hubby from a deep restful slumber with hysterical laughter, and wall shaking footsteps, as I ran swiftly to the little girls room. Of course the running took place immediately following the picking up of myself from the floor.
You rock, my friend. You rock. As a child of the sixties, I adore the Beatles. Hubby, though, I must say, at the moment........ not a great fan.

***whispering softly**** I nominate you to be the first recipient of the iWin Grammy, known as "The iWimmy".
Thought of using the iWinny, but that sounds too much like a horse. ***composure regained***

coup de grace (literally blow of mercy)
1) the blow that kills, usually mercifully
2) a finishing stroke or decisive event

....all because I said I would give Trick or Treaters FLAMINGOS or maps....

...........but that was before iWin gave us candy.

Hey, Rose... One look at your face would probably be enough to break the spell that she has over the flamingos. You willin' to give it a go? It's for a good cause. Val and the flamingos all need it. It's for the best interests of them all. Just promise you'll give it some serious thought.

Hey Em,first of all, I believe my "looks" are getting disparaged here, but, I'm not for sure, because I am so crosseyed and my unibrow is so tight since you braided it earlier tonight. I am all for helping my friends, if my mug will help Volo to break this freakish hold she has over the flamingoes, I am at your service. Hopefully this intervention takes place in the next 12 hours, as I have an appointment with plastic surgeon after that.

Oh yeah, Em, another intervention might be needed for Volo's unhealthy love of maps, i'm just saying, and its just my opinion.

Perhaps we are not seeing the BIG PICTURE. Volo could be a rogue CIA agent with a plan for world domination in order to create a Utopian environment for both her and her flamingos.
