I love the game My Tribe, currently I only have a 3 more trophies to go 1 being the person that has to be 969 years old (my oldest is 257) and a 2 of the mysterious objects that I haven't even seen yet.

My only problem with the game is the fact that if I put it on pause and come back the next day, that half my villagers are dead from starvation. I thought that if you put a game on pause that it freezes, but apparently they continue to eat, but do not do anything else such as fish or farm.

One weird thing though I went to the trouble of giving all my females the twin potion, created the babies, and 2 island years later all 16 babies died of starvation and I had 1600 food and 16 babies only made my population 28(8 females + 4 males + 16 babies). So is there a limit to how many babies you can have at once?

I have 1 trophy to go the one for someone to be 969. Once I have all of the mysteries my favorite islands are 1846358011 and 2491589199 they are both easy to develop and yet have a lot of resources.

When I put it on pause nothing happens, BUT if I put it on any other setting before hitting play it is as if it was on that setting while it was off.

I really do like this game, My Tribe. I was very, how do you say, bored one day, so I decided to play this wonderful game. It was very enjoyable to play, and the graphics were very nice. I love these American games!

My 9 y.o. plays this a lot. It's great for her.Gives her lots of organisational skills etc. Not sure how far into the game she is .but I often hear her complaining about people dieing while she's away. Don't understand why you pause the game , but they keep using resourses.

You have build the ship yard
then build the ship,
then when you are ready to leave the island place a peep on the ship

I NEVER PAUSE THE GAME, JUST SAVE AND EXIT, AND MY TRIBES PEOPLE STAY FINE, LIKE AS IF I WAS STILL PLAYING, THEY KEEP UP THE STOCK OF EVERYTHING , THE ONLY TIME ANY OF MY TRIBE DIE IS FROM NATURAL CAUSES..

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR TRIBE PERSON TO LIVE THAT LONG??? THE LONGEST ANY OF MY PEOPLE EVER LIVE IS LIKE 76.. AND THEY DIE FROM NATURAL CAUSES?? CAN YOU HELP??

When your peep gets gray hair ( at 65) give them a potion of relic + mushroom + fountain water they'll feel like they're 35 again and the aging process starts again from there.

What potions have y'all worked out? I've only played the trial time, so I didn't have much time to experiment. So far I found these:

wood + sea water + stardust = butterfly maker (given in tutorial)

rock + sea water + stardust = rock maker. Good for if you ever run out of rocks...

muchroom + sea water + stardust = ???? It had no effect on anything I tried it on.

Does anyone know what stardust and moondust is good for, aside from helping build buildings? I tried it on a couple of my peeps, and I couldn't see any effect.

Here's a tip: Kids can't work like the adults, but they can go gather mushrooms, guano, stardust, and moondust. That way you don't have to pull an adult off a job to pick up goodies.

Just a guess, but you probably shouldn't have more babies than there are adults to take care of them. I don't know why all 16 would have starved though.

I build a craftwork building and put points into art, so I can make custom clothing for my peeps. I've grabbed a teenager a couple of times accidently when trying to make babies, so this is how I'm solving that problem. Adults of breeding age are dressed in bright pink or blue shirts so I can spot them easily. When they get too old, I put them in dark pink or blue. Teenagers are in pale pink or blue.

I'm gonna colorcode the pants too: red = more brawn than brains; green = more brains than brawn; yellow = brains and brawn; brown = not particularly smart or strong.

It's a good thing the program doesn't keep track of blood relationships, or these peeps would be dangerously inbred! I'm pretty sure I've mated at least one daughter with her own father, and the next generation has a good chance of breeding with siblings.

Some hints I picked up on the net:

Make sure you mark enough trees to harvest before you shut down the game. Otherwise they run out of firewood and can't cook food, so they starve.

Don't put your food storage shed too far away from the firepit, or they won't eat out of the shed and will starve.

You don't have to be picky when you're choosing an island to settle; they all have good resources. Find one with a cool name that has mysteries you want to work on.

OMG check this out!!!! One of my teenage boys opened up a crate and it turned out to be an elixer of power - it maxed out his strength and pushed his intelligence up to 98! The best part is that his kids inherit his uber strength and high intelligence. So guess who gets to be the baby daddy for the whole island? Not only that, but he's on an island with a Fountain, so he has a good chance of making it to the point where I can make a youth potion for him.

Okay maybe someone can tell me why my observatory is not making a sound to signal when stars or moons fall? I feel like I wasted all that construction effort and wood and stone for nothing. The other game sounds play just fine.

Maybe you can tell me what Ironwood + Seawater + Moondust does? When I try it on a person, it "tastes like electricity", but I can't tell what effect it's having.

ironwood + rain + moondust = improved construction skill
ironwood + sea + stardust = improved science skill

That's as close as I have.

I tried it and got the same result when I used it on a person and absolutely no result when I used it on the land. I'd guess this is a null combination.

Actually, the null combinations are the ones that burst into flames and destroy your catalyst. Which is why you should always have extra catalysts around when you're experimenting.

It's just possible the potion is doing something subtle, like increasing the lifespan of the person dosed.

Okay, I'm having a problem. My eldest is 481 but whenever I try to change islands the program crashes, It happened with my last tribe and I tried just starting over. Obviously that didn't work. Is there a limit as to how many island changes you can make?

As soon as I move to an island I set up the foundation for a dock. When that is finished I build an ark. When they finish that they move. So, I'd guess at least 25 times.

I just got this game and let me say this is not one of those games you play for a couple of hours:
and beat. I love how everything about this game that I probably wont need another game for
a couple of years!

I hope they come out with another game like this but with EVEN MORE options!
That would be perfect!

This game is far much more than it's worth.

I'd like to see a command to make a person stand still for about 30 seconds or so, it would make it much easier to dose them with potions or round them up for breeding.

I'm still working on my last trophy, the one for getting a person to 963 years. I was going good, had a person at 250 or so, then I had to go to the hospital for a week. When I got back, all but 3 of my peeps were dead from natural causes. So now I'm building up my tribe again. Incidently, all my survivors were auburn or red-haired. So now I've got an island full of tow-heads.

(in genetics, that's known as Founder Effect, where a small number of organisms colonize a new place and their offspring have a much higher incident of a specific trait than the root population.)

On getting them to stand still.
Try unchecking ALL of their tasks.
Hope that helps

I only need them to stand still for a few minutes, after that I want them getting stuff done. And it doesn't always help - if they don't have anything to do they'll wander around instead of standing in one place.

When you uncheck their tasks
then: use potions, etc.,
then: reassign tasks for that person

they should be MORE still when unchecking tasks

Wow, no rest for the wicked, eh?

I put all my tombstones on the northern beach of the island, and only move when the graveyard gets full. Yes, I know you can hide them, but it seems a little disrespectful. Anyway, now that I have all the mysteries solved, I don't like moving cos it means I have to rebuild my science lab and clothing workshop. I need potions cos I'm still working on the methusalah trophy, and I like my peeps in bright clothes instead of "castaway neutral".

Actually you can build the star or moon "tower"
then immediately demolish it! This will still give you the shower of moons or stars!

Same with the shipyard immediately demolish then build the ark

I let em build it all the way to improve their construction skills. Otherwise, they'll all crowd around the research station and max out their science and nothing else! I guess I can't blame them... science is much more interesting than work any day!

My oldest person died; now I have to try to get some of the younger peeps to 969 years.

That last trophy is tough, cos you gotta catch them when they're gray-haired but before they die on you. And it just takes so doggone long!

Keep using the youth potion. My oldest person I had was over 700, and due to unexpected storms in our area I didn't put it on pause, and she died and all the other did to leaving me with no tribe. So I had to start over. But I love the game.

I don't know what causes that, but I did notice that if you were in the process of building the star tower or moon tower or basically anthing when you decide to move, you can't, it justs brings you to IWin and when you go back you are still at the same place. So I just saved it, waited a couple of hours til they finished what they were building and then move them. I've moved one tribe at least 8 times.
