Having trouble getting through Book 1 level 6-3 on the second go around. Those buried cards are messing up my chances to get pass the level. And there are only 4 cards on the bottom draw pile which also is difficult to win the game. If there are any secrets to getting past this one, PLEASE HELP!

Also having trouble with the third round. the gold trophy. VERY STUCK on level 2-4 Book 1. Most of the time I can't clear all the cards. And if I do, then I can't clear them the second time for a chance to get the jewel board all gold. Been trying for 3 DAYS NOW!!!! Has anybody gotten past round three? And if they did, how long did it take? Ready to throw in the towel on this one and sell my game disc.

Sorry if i sounded rude. It's just that I was enjoying the game up until I ran into this wall. I wish I could get feedback to see if anyone has gotten through the gold round. If not, I will quit the game and uninstall it. Sorry about the temper.

Doesn't look like there's much traffic on this site but I wanted to post that this game is winable. After about 8 weeks, I just completed the Gold level, Book II, Level 8-8. My score for the Gold level was 1,007,055. I was playing the free version with ads that caused the program to bug out from time to time. There are no cheats that I know of - you just have to keep trying. At the end of the game the movie projector plays a tribute to the game creators and technical support. This was a really challenging game. On to JQS III !

I am on the gold round and can't get past the first round game four. I know it's supposed to be harder but this is more cruel than fun.

Also stuck on gold round book 1 level 4 book 1. Easy to see why: the game is badly designed in my view. The card play is difficult enough. In the game I'm stuck at you always get 5 buried jewels but they usually come up late in the hand making it a lot more difficult to clear them. You only get a single wild card in a game and not in EVERY game, and there's a limited supply of turnover cards. So the odds are stacked against you and the skills you acquired earlier in playing JQS2 aren't going to help you. There's limited scope to clear pairs to increase swaps on the jewel board; even less chance of clearing three of the same colour in sequence to earn extra gold squares; or clearing 3 monkeys to get them out of the way. Your only priority is clearing the cards as efficiently as possible without worrying about the jewel board bonuses. It's just taken me 19 hands to win a hand of this game and get to the jewel board. Those comments above mean I had limited swaps and limited gold squares when I got there. So there was practically no chance of clearing the jewel board at one visit. So now we come to the laws of probability. Let's assume that win ratio of 1/19 is typical (which I assure you it is on my recent experience), then to clear the jewel board at the second attempt I have to face another set of odds for the second of cards of 1/19 - only I've got to win the next game the first time or I lose what I've achieved so far. At the risk of contradicting myself I have actually managed 2 consecutive wins twice in the last fortnight (heaven knows how many games I've played but it is in the hundreds) and still I couldn't clear the jewel board at the second visit so I had to face trying to win a third hand in succession. Now I'm not too great at maths but even I can work out that 1/19 x 1/19 x 1/19 represents an absolutely miniscule chance of success (actually it's 1 in 6859) ... and that's disregarding the fact that the three victories have to come one after another. So it's quite clear that whoever designed this game didn't do their homework on the probability. OK if the sequence of cards is always determined by the luck of the deal, but the number of buried jewels, wild cards and the size of the turnover pack is set by the game design and in this and other "low probability games" (ie. Level 1 Book 2-4, 2-6, 3-1 and 3-3) the design should have been set little more favourably to improve the odds. After all, the truly classic games of solitaire offer a mode rate chance of success, which isn't the case in the gold level of JQS2.

I assume from other messages that this forum is monitored so I'd be interested to hear from the moderators whether any of this rings true. Happy to be told I'm wrong but I'd like to see the evidence that the odds for some of these games are better and that I've just failed to develop the knack of winning them consistently. Several of the other games in books 2 and 3 of the old level are pretty straightforward so it's not clear why the design of some of the others is so difficult.

Obviously you spotted how to win this particular game that's completely escaped me. I've been stuck at gold book 1 4-1 for over 2 weeks, not 2 days, which is why my patience is wearing thin.

It's also a bit daunting to think I am still only at the start of level 4 in the first book of the gold level. How much harder can it get? But OK, so it's do-able.

I'm playing Gold Level 1-4 Book 4 and am really stuck. In this level you have to fill in the whole board with gold spaces to advance. It seems that no matter what I do I don't get gold spaces. I have played this particular level at least 12 times and still have two spaces and for the life of me I can't get another space filled with gold. It seems to take at least 4 rounds to get one square filled with gold.

How many times must I play this to fill in old the spaces with gold?

Whether I win the round or not many times I don't get a gold space.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
