Besides emom1st attaining the penthouse so has lata1954. Great Job and congratulations lata1954, for making it to the top.

I would like to dedicate this thread for the first 25 Hotel iWin guests who make it to the top. It took a lot of dedication and a lot of Opals to get there, so this thread's for you.

Per the request of Hotel iWin guests, a chronological list of Penthouse arrivals is provided below. For your convenience, each name is a link to the achiever's Penthouse. THANKS TO EVERYONE !!!!!! For the congrats. I put a lot of time and effort into my rooms, so all of you noticing is really appreciated. Makes it alll worthwhile. If no one saw them it would hardly be woth it. Fortunately I have the time to play games a lot, although many of the opals were also purchased. Looking forward to seeing the rest of you there, and an addition to the hotel. With so many headed there it will be filling up fast. Would hate to have to put out a no vacancy sign..lol.

Pony, I do the same thing. I go ck out their penthouse and offer my congrats on their wall. They deserve it.

Hey, Mary Beth. Maybe you could just go into your original post at the top of this thread and add names as they arrive.

I think iWin should create some kind of special Penthouse Charter Member Award for the first ten Penthouse arrivals. Part of the award could be a Charter Member plaque for their hotel room wall. They could move into whatever room they wanted to display it. Kind of like the iWin plaque, only better.
After all, they are the first players to reach the goal David Fox dreamed up years ago when he came up with the hotel idea. (other than his idea for making lots of money from casual gaming. lol)

And, I mustn't forget to say .... you know what's coming, don't you...... here it is........ that's just my opinion.

There are a few ways I can think of off hand how you can visit someone's rooms:
Go to the Website and use this line: http://www.iwin.com/hotel/?room=Username or on the bottom of the Friend List in your profile is the radio button, +add friend. Click on it and type the username. They will be added to your friend's list so you can located their username and click on the avatar. You can also use Search iWin.com. It will find posts in the forum or the user's profile page.

Eve, since moving up the floors & thus to penthouse is based on lifetime opals, there is no incentive to just buy your way up without decorating; you would just end up with a huge quantity of opals & empty rooms..., whether the opals were spent to decorate or not wouldn't get someone to the penthouse sooner...I can't see anyone just building up the opals & not using them. Is there someone who has made it without decorating or are you just stating a possible scenario?

Hi Eve,

I agree with you in part. The part I agree with is the decorating of all rooms. I am in the Penthouse but I got here only after I had decorated all my rooms completely. But I admit I did buy opals along the way to finish a room or to pay for a luxury item or special item, you know the big ticket stuff like a special bed or couch, etc. Unfortunately we haven't been given merchandise continuously along the way. So if you want to make a room look new and fresh, you are almost forced into buying opals to pay for a "new look".

I don't consider a room "decorated" when it has just a few things in it. To me a decorated room is one that is complete with furniture and all that goes with it, i.e. curtains, carpets, kitchen appliances, etc.

Unfortunately when you reach the penthouse, there is no where else to go. So all you have left is re-dos. And even that gets difficult after awhile.

Where I don't agree is I don't see anything wrong with buying opals to complete a room with the specialty or luxury items or to stock up on sales items.

I do agree with what you refer to as buying your way up. It does not seem rigjt to me to just buy opals to get more undecorated rooms. Like I said, when you reach the penthouse, there is nowhere else to go. Di

I would agree that it wouldn't seem fair to get to the penthouse without decorating anything but I still say that is unlikely to happen. It takes 300,000 opals lifetime opals to get to the penthouse by my figuring; why would you just accumulate that many opals and not use them? Even if you use them to decorate, your lifetime opals total doesn't decrease so why would anyone leave them just sitting there? Maybe I'm missing something here but it seems highly unlikely anyone would get to the top with even barely decorated rooms...unless it's Scrooge hoarding his/her Opals just to look at them...

I do agree with Di though, it must be hard to come up with new ideas when you reach the top when you've used all the items available through the 1st round of decorating...I still have a few floors to go to get there and already ideas are getting harder to come by...
