Once you have turned all the dials to the right position (think clock positions), you need to push all three red buttons to start the boat. Did you push the red buttons? I don't know if the puzzle is random as far as which markings to use, but here is what I got from it the last time I played. Use the marking on the stearing wheel inner spoke on the right, and the marking right below the spoke, the marking on the bottom of the the round grid to the left of the 3 red buttons, the markings directly above the round grid, and the markings right above those, and the markings on the metal box to the slight left above the box with the red lever. When I played it last, the first dial (moon) was in the (again think clock) 3 position, the second dial was in the 3 position, the third dial (star) was in the 3 position, the fourth dial was in the 12 position and the last dial (heart) was in the 3 position. Then push all three red buttons to start the boat. Try that and see if it works. Let us know if it doesn't.

I'm in the process of playing the game again so I will let you know if it is random, or if it comes up with the same combo of symbols and dial positions.

This is so embarrassing. I'me positive I'e followed your directionws exasctly, but still something wrong.
I'm at the computer right now, can you help me?

Each dial has a particular symbol on it as well. When you match the symbol with the carving, you will know in which direction the dial needs to go in.
There is only one carving that does not have a symbol on it and that is the number 3. However, if you look around the boat you will see a heart with the number 3 next to it. That will be the position for that dial. Hope this helps.
