Yea, what does that mean? And what is a rental game? And what does "Purchase Only" mean, if it is a Free Play game? I'm not understanding the lingo, here. Could someone please educate me?!? *confused*

I just noticed that "Club iWin" is now "Club iWin All Access". Price has gone up, so I am sure perks have changed as well. Maybe that explains the All Access, Purchase Only, and Rental notations that are on the game lists now. I am sure they will let us now shortly.

Club iWin and Club iWin All Access are two different subscription plans iWin is now offering. You will be able to find more information in the Knowledge Base under "Club iWin and Club iWin All Access". It will provide you with a lot of information about the new alternative plan and how it works. iWin is adding additional FAQ's with information and answers to questions anyone might have. This is quite new and iWin is creating the appropriate articles as we speak. Your questions re "purchase only" and "rental"and other new notations regarding games will make better sense once you have read the info provided. You do not need to worry about your plan changing or suddenly being charged more for your subscription to Club iWin. Thanks for your patience.

Wow, looks nice!!!!! Play almost any game indefinately for just 10 bucks a month? That would certainly help me with my budget!
I've seen this type of deal at another website and was about to suggest it to iWin.

Not all games are All Access which why I signed up. I thought it meant ANY game but it doesn't mean any game. If you look at the tabular lists of games in the description column, non-All Access games are labeled - Purchase Only. You still get the 60 minute trial but no All Access. I was gung ho about signing up until I witnessed the fine print....always that darn fine print. Premium Games and popular releases are not included. So Marooned, Women's Murder Club, etc. are not included.
I'm still thinking about how I feel about this--or whether I'll revert back to the old program??? Jury's out 'til I see how this goes.....
Seven - I posted how to sign up for All Access here: Switching from Club iWin to Club iWin All Access. I wasn't seeing the switch subscription graphics like shown in the Knowledge Base graphics so I found a work around. In the meantime, Markus sent me the Knowledge Base article in my support ticket which explains what I found out by myself. I'm so impatient sometimes.

I think you may be misunderstanding. With All-Access, you can play any game (except for the purchase only) as if it was a free-play game - with no ads! If you really like the game and think you would play it over and over, you can then buy the game for the Club iWin price. I've seen this deal on another website; they do a better job of explaining it.
The other thing I can figure you're having trouble with is the same thing I am - a window popping up saying your trial has expired, even though you already purchased the game. Just ignore that. I think it's a bug on the website.

I signed up for the All Access membership believing I'd have access to over 800 games as stated in the advertising. The truth is All Access members have 668 games they can play without Ads for free out of the 903 available. 235 games are "Purchase Only" which is a good chunk of games. It appears now, those of us signing up for the plan have lost our "Free Play" ability with certain titles as Uhuru is pointing out which decreases the 668 to even less. No I'm not feeling all warm and fuzzy about this and will most likely switch back to the other plan because all the really cool games are "Purchase Only".
I was being a poor consumer without reading the fine print and not researching everything before jumping in with both feet . If All Access members were to be given all access to the special titles in the group of games which are "Free Play" for perpetuity and a few more of the "cool" games, I would stick with the plan. But if the plan stays as is, I'll be switching back next month. This is my personal choice not a recommendation for others.

10/1/09 - Excersizing my right as a female to change my mind, my opinion of the All Access Plan has been changing since I first signed up. Initially bummed, the big ticket popular games were not All Access, I found a lot of other great new releases are: Department 42, Nat Geo Adventure: Lost City of Z, Slingo Mystery, Save our Spirit and many more. I will be sticking with the All Access Plan because it provides me with a wide variety of games I can play once, twice or a thousand times and then unload the game. So...it works for me. •••MB

******************************* teamed up with Shockwave to offer a similar deal, but they don't have as many good games as Iwin.

I just wanted to point out that regardless of how you interpret the dialog's text, the simple fact is you can continue to play the game for FREE for as long as you like ("Ever") as long as you don't mind the ocassional ad.
I hope that makes you feel a bit better uhuru1701.

Hello
I would like to chime in this thread and make certain that a couple of key points are clear: The game titles currently offered as free with advertisements will continue to be free with advertisements. Our customers may turn off the ads by purchasing the game or (in most instances) joining Club iWin All Access. There are a few game titles that are offered as "Play Free, No Time Limit" that we are unable to offer ad-free to Club iWin All Access members due to contractual obligations to specific developers. We do understand that some of the messaging can be a little confusing and we will be making some changes for clarity.

I am curious as to what games you needed to reinstall. So far I have not had to reinstall one All Access game. When I left clicked on the Play Now text of a game on My Games list, it automatically changed to All Access and so did the rest of the games which were All Access in my list.

The CS technician posted in the other all access topic (now locked) so I am reposting it here.
** Please note this posting is from an iWin employee. Any indivdual support requests should be directed through the support port portal support.iwin.com **
We understand that some of our All Access subscribers have experienced an issue with their All Access games. Upon launch, they receive a message stating "You have access to this game as an all access member but this is an older version of the game. Please click reinstall so that you can play the game without ads or time limits."
While in some cases you may have an older build of the game that does in fact need to be updated to All Access specifications, if the message appears after a full reinstall of the game - the message itself is in error. If the game is an eligible All Access title, closing the dialogue box with the reinstall advisement should allow your game to launch successfully. This is a messaging issue that we are addressing and apologize for any confusion that it caused. If the issue persists, please reopen your ticket and let us know.

Hopefully helpful, 60 minute trial == NOT All Access. Purchase Only == NOT All Access.
Notice, initial email states:
Thank you for choosing the iWin All Access Program! The iWin All Access program gives you access to unlimited play of over 800 games! An added bonus for All Access members is that you can buy games at the Club iWin memeber price of 65% off, every day!
Support Center:
http://support.iwin.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=5419&task=knowledge&questionID=1004
states:
All Access members are also able to purchase over 800 games for $6.99 each or less, including our "Steals & Deals" section for the deepest discounts.
There are 206 "Free Games" on the iWin Games Manager listing...
I'm out.

Today, there are 1014 games in the iWin inventory of which 8 are Premium games which leaves 1006 games available for $6.99 or less to all Club iWin Subscribers which includes the Steals & Deals section. 831 games are available for play by the All Access Plan subscribers. 206 games are freeplay for anyone visiting the site. Therefore, the iWin email is true. Which part of the advertizing email appears to be in conflict for you?

I have the Club iWin All Access Plan and after initially being bummed about not having access to ALL games, I found the games I did have access to were excellent. I had to uninstall and reinstall 6 games on MyGames list but didn't have any really big snafu until my subscription was up for renewal. And now that iWin is aware of the programming problem with All Access accounts and automatic withdrawals, I trust there will be no lapse on my renewal date or anyone elses for that matter.
Right now, I have so many games I want to try but haven't had the time to play all of them. You get double Opals for playing All Access games, so there is no detriment there. My experience has for the most part been positive. Not everything works perfectly the first time but I think the major kinks are out of All Access for new subscribers as long as their software and applications are up to date. JMHO

After a lot of consideration and thought..I have just signed up for the All Access, and I am having a great time..I know that some of the *cooler* games unfortunately are purchase only, but well maybe they will eventually become All Access in time as newer games are released for purchase only, but for now I am happy with what I have decided and feel it's a great choice.

After purchasing all access in order to play add free for garden defence amongst other, i have found that even though it shows as all access, it tells me that i have older version and need to reinstall, however after this i get same message, so then clicked continue or X allows me to play the game but still with the same annoying adds that i bought all access to avoid. How can i fix this?

Can anyone tell me if the all access that is 9.99 a month one of those charges that they automatically do each month or you have to pay for it each month. I am leary of those auto pay where they charge your card. It seems everytime I do that when I want to cancel a membership it is a pain in the butt.

I joined All Access about two weeks ago and I have not had one single problem, so reading all these problems am I to believe that they have now all since been fixed? Only one problem I did have was the message telling me I had a older version of game to update it but I just did like it said and pressed continue and I was able to play. I hope all you guys get your glitches fixed soon, it sounds awful. To be honest if I was having half the problems the people here write about I would have cancelled by now.

If you look at the game details page, you will be able to see if a game is available for all access or is a purchase only game. In this case, it is Purchase only, not All Access. Sorry...

So my all access problems finally are fixed. Apparently, the problem was that my paypal account and my iwin account were not registered with the same email address, so the system wasn't connecting the two somehow. Perhaps this is the same for others? Check into it, it solved the issues for me, maybe it can help some of you too! Good luck!

This is the first time that I can post to forums.
I have found a couple of games that do not have the notation of being purchase or premium, but they do not act
like All Access games, Samantha Swift w/ roses is one off the top of my head.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm happy to know what marbles I have left are still working, so thanks sylvmc for confirming what I saw. I know it is dissappointing to have a game or two revert but it is most likely due to renegotiation of a contract with the distributor or producer; therefore, out of iWin's hands. I have to say I am fairly pleased with the All Access Plan. So far, I've always got a bunch of games on my list and haven't even started them when a new batch arrives. The purchase only games may change status in the future just like first run movies going to the budget cinemas. Eventually, most of those titles will be available for us to play. The producers and distributors want to make as much money off of these games as possible first time around. We just have to wait a bit.

I pay every month for Iwins all access and then I download games, I make sure they are NOT purchase only or premium games but it seems lately they are either mislabled or changed. This needs to be fixed. When I have a game in my queue which states its all access I expect it should last longer than a 60 min. trial. Please start correcting the catagories on your games. It would be nice just to have a special page for all access members that shows only all access games instead of mixing then with all other games. Sorry to rant on but I'm ready to cancel my membership.

Every All Access game is designated by a seal in the upper right hand corner of the game description page.
I know there have been times when All Access games have "mysteriously" converted to Purchase Only which I agree, isn't right. It happened to one of mine back in March. This subject has been brought up to iWin and bears repeating I see. So if you're checking out a game to download, go to the game description page first, just to be sure.
