As far as I know, there is no way to search for a friend. If you know his user name, send a private message. There is a search facility there if you only know part of it. If you do not know his user name, the only thing I can suggest is to keep playing Family Feud and you may meet him again.
Someone with more experience than I have on iWin may have another suggestion.

Hi everyone. I am new to Hotel IWin (2months). I am from Albereta, Canada.I really enjoy the interactive Jewel Quest and other Quests II and III and Word Games. I'd like to invite you to visit me. Lyndy, considering your limited budget, you did a great job on your 1st floor. Be sure to check out the Wheel of Opalescence for another source of opals!

I suppose to stay OT I should introduce myself. I'm fairly new to the iWin forums but have been playing JQ for a year or so - many versions! I like the standard match-3 games more than the Mysteries which are mostly HO games, although I've only played the 1st Mysteries game and am about ready to try another and see how they've improved. I know the match-3 games get better - and harder, to the point where some boards are not fun anymore.

But I ignore those and have fun with the rest!

OK, think I totally messed up...my post disappeared. Anyway, I've been playing iWin games for a while now and never stopped to figure out what opals were for. I had about 45000 when I decided to look. Anyway, I think I have a room on the 8th floor and one on the 6th. Can anybody tell me if they can find me? I hope it shows up at my iWin site.
