Jewel Quest Online Party ••• 2009

My mouse is extremely slow and stutters. Is there a fix for this? Does anyone else have this problem? It is very aggrevating during game play. Thanks!

Why all the problems with the online jewel quest game? downloading can take almost an hour. If the site gives problems all the time, how can you enjoy it?

I purchased this game about 2-3 years ago and was totally hooked then - my computer crashed and lost game. When Online Party came on I immediately joined again and am once again hooked - only problem I can't seem to chat when I'm playing so please no offense to those who have tried to chat with me - I just don't have a chat option -
Game is scored by highest score ponts, so even if you get to sliver and have alot of silver coins, what you scored in numbers is what counts hope this helps.

yes I am familiar & used to have this problem constantly. I found that my computer was too full & operated too slow. I got a new computer and this problem disappeared. I couldn't figure if it was the game or my computer, it was my computer. You can try to do some clean up on your system if U have alot on it, make sure U don't have alot of stuff running in the backround when playing, and do a little maintenance, also deleting old games and stuff UR not using may help correct the problem. UR avatar is missing a mouth U can C, U can fix it by reinstalling a mouth so it will show up again.

I had posted a question about JQOP which appears to have been deleted.
I know that there is a "glitch" with getting Opals awarded for JQOP play... what my basic question is: Is it worth the time & trouble to file a ticket with Customer Support?
As a new member, I haven't done one yet & it looks complicated.
If this is not the correct thread to ask this question please advise, don't just delete me....Please.

I find that my mouse drags in ratio to how many people are playing in that room eg. When there is only me and one other, no drag. At 3 the drag starts to happen at 4 it gets worse at 5 or more no point playing as the drag is so bad. Has anybody else noticed that correlation? Or is is just me.

some of the games I play, the mouse drags, but it drags really bad on JQOP!
It doesn't do it with all games, just a few.

I find I keep getting connection lost message when I try & play in the evenings (my time = EST)...plays fine during the day but playing at night is a lost cause. Too many people on at the same time maybe? I don't know but it sure is frustrating! Does anybody else experience problems at a particular time of day? It's been doing it for a while now, always in the evenings...and when it disconnects me, it takes away some of my points so I don't even have the pleasure of losing those all by myself!

it takes a long time to collect opals when i win them i expect the to be added but they are not being added correctly it said i earned 7 for playing pus 50 for getting better than 50 silvers but only 10 was added this is daunting at least give me what i earnt

i just went out and played JQOP TO MAKE A POINT I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECIEVE 7 OPALS FOR PLAYING THE GAME AND I WAS AWARDED 50 OPALS FOR GETTING 84 SILVERS, I HAD 176 OPALS WON 57 ONLT INCRESSED THE 7 I NOW HAVE 183 VERY DIAPPOINTING NOT TO RECIEVE THE 50 OPALS I WON CAN THIS BE RECTIFIED I SHOULD HAVE BEEN 233 , DO THE MATH

This has been stated a few times in each Jewel Quest OP thread but bears repeating since the same complaints keep cropping up because no one will search the thread. To locate individual topics or comments in the forum use Search iWin.com, just to the right of center near the top of the Game Manager and just to the left of center near the top of the website.

Jewel Quest Online Party is in beta state meaning all of the bugs have not been worked out yet. At this time, software engineers are assigned to other projects which iWin feels takes priority over tweaking a free game. When personnel become available, the issues hampering JQOP and WSOP will be addressed. No proposed date was given.

Playing Jewel Quest on line is more fun than a kick in the pants !!!!!!

First and foremost, thanks to iwin for giving us JQOP, glitches and all. It is a really unique way to play the game. I have an issue, not a complaint, that I thought that the developers/fixers might want to know about. I have read some of the posts (not all, by any means, there's too many. So if this is a duplicate, all apologies) and have not seen this problem mentioned. My daughter and I both have accounts on iwin and share a computer. Her account started after mine and she consistently gets points added to her rating and is currently at 2500 or so. I play twice as much as her, but I lost points consistently down to a 100 rating which is what I start with every game. I've tried logging off, uninstall/reinstall, and even going through her icon on my Windows start page. Regardless of whose icon we choose, she always gains and I always lose. Again, this is not a complaint, just providing information. I enjoy earning and spending opals so rating points would be the bonus plan for me. Thanks again

I've noticed 2 days in a row room locked in JQ. Is there a way to lock a room? I play with several friends I've met here and usually 4 to 5 of us play and try 2 get a room with 0 in it. The way lost conn problems occur its hard cause someone may get in while our other friend is trying to get back on. Don't want to be rude but we like to chat and like I said go to our own room but can't lock like U could in wordscape. Then to get one of us back in we have to boot another player out. thats the only way, we do try to jump around and switch rooms all of us alot to get one alone but someone always ends up getting in while moving. Then someone tries to boot U if chatting like they want a quiet room no one chatting, thats why there's a chat box. I met alot of really cool people through this game and we set a time each week to all meet and play. I don't want to have to boot someone out, but if a friend looses connection and we want to get them back in so we don't all loose each other, have to boot someone out, nothing they did wrong we just want to all play together. How can you do this another way? A locked room would be a good idea, we try whisper lately but we like to talk together instead of 1 to 1 at a time, want to talk openly. Love the game and great release of stress, laughs and meeting people from around the world.

i was playing in a room just a little while ago and someone got "booted" - any reason why this might happen? is it initiated by the current room players? or is it something in the player rating? i just wondered if there wre some rules not quite jotted down yet, but were understood by other players of the game... the crazy thing was - while her rating was 100, she consistently kicked the crap out of all of us! i love players like that because it helps to bring out the competitive edge.

My question is where do I find the new information for earning opals while playing that game.ie: 4 hour increments are what time to what time I am in PST and would like to know.Also why I am not earning 1st prize opals not won 10 in a row opals just silver surfer awarded for 1st time within 4 hour increment and 7 per game.
I am sure someone on here can tell me where to go and find this info as I cannot find it using the searchiwin or in the knowledge base. Thank you. : o)

I didn't read all the posts, either, lionesss, but from what I gathered, my theory is that the issues each player has depends on when they downloaded. In other words, I always have a 100 rating, my daughter (who joined later) consistently gets an increase in her rating (we both use the same computer, but have different accounts), but, I have never had an issue with collecting opals, but her collection is inconsistent. Lastly, neither one of us have noticed a change in our previous high scores when we do get a better score.

Finally, I did see from one of the moderators that they are working on the problems, but do not have a specific time frame to address all of the glitches. Moderators, if any of my post isn't on the right track, please let me know. Thanks.

i love to play jq but have noticed the last few times i cant chat or see any others faces or the podium and prizes at the end of the game any one have any ideas on whats wrongor is it me lol

FYI -- The moderators were told JQOP is not out of beta status; therefore, quite a few issues with it and WSOP still require troubleshooting. Please see my post further up the page. Thank you.

I love this game.....but (the big but) the scoring is way off. It really annoys me. My husband plays it and he says he doesn't care. I have to disagree. I work hard to try and improve my score but with no results. When are they going to actually fix the scoring issue. Come on iWin. You do create games for a living so I can't see any reason why it isn't fixed. You're only as good as your worst employee. Maybe you need some new technical people. Seriously ....tick tock with the "fixes" for Jewel Quest Online Party.

Hi labeda my understanding is from what I have read 'somewhere' here in the forums is that because JQOP is still 'in BETA' it is not a priority with the techs and engineers.. It will be dealt with at an undisclosed date when it 'comes out of BETA' hope that helps.
I played on and off for over 12 hours yesterday and received 7 opals per game,no silver surfers(which you can only earn once every 4 hours)not earning them again today ..oh well play on
I'm done submitting tickets on the problems with the opal thing.
Sure glad I didn't want that new white couch for only 10k LOL

Why can't we lock this game as u can in Wordscape? This stinks cause of loosing connection problems when u already have ur friends together to play in the room and someone looses connection and before they are back someone new comes in. Then what are u supposed to do? Will there be a way to lock the game in the near future? I have the most fun in this game and have a great group of friends i play with and we want to talk and play and stay together in the same room.

I have the same issues you all are having. The worst for me is the connetion lost to server, it drives me grazy. I love this game for years and this party game was it for me, but these problems are not leaving. At first i almost wantend to leave the gamesite where i am a payed member an join the iwim club. But now...

I was getting very aggrivated with JQ online. I would play and not receive my opals. Then I started keeping track and sure enough last night, I should have won 178. I started out with 123, total should have been 301, but my total was (and is) 129! Go figure, I play for free so I am not going to drive them crazy with daily tickets.
My daughter tried quitting after every 50 opal win and she got her 50. It's a pain in the backside, but it worked for her.

o.k. forget trying my daughters method! I tried it twice, won 2- 50's both times and the first time i got 7 and the 2nd time I got 24. So............................I don't know, I'm not going to watch it anymore, it will drive you crazy! Just gonna play and enjoy the game!

I bought this game from Competitor Name games and have played about 10k matches on the tournament server. This is much more fun and realtime results are most satisfying.

However there are huge lag issues that begin when room exceeds 3 people. Mouse simply slows to much and drives me insane. It seems once mid game is reached and the player position switching slows the game speeds up.

Is it possible to freeze this thing till near end of the game to free up resourses?....Theres really not enough time between games to chat either...simply too much going on in this game and its bogged.

Also a question...i share this pc with wife and we want our own user names but can't seem to find out how....thanks.

I have noticed all the different names of the rooms in JQOP (over 107) but only 60 rooms available (or less). I started paying attention to this when I noticed rooms I liked to play in were not there later in the day or the next day. So I am just wondering why all the room changes? Why not keep the same rooms instead of them constantly appearing then disappearing?
There are 10 different named Moroccan rooms but you only see 1 or 2 maybe at a time.

I find that when my mouse runs slow I have to come out of the game and kill off the iwin page completely and then start all over again. After this everything is ok again

Can i expect to get an answer to my questions here, other than editting out the "cometitors name"...which btw is rediculous because you are the people that produced this game.

If your company name did not come up on the intro screen i wouldn't even be here, so its obviously your game.

I have mostly given up on this "online party" because the lag is pathetic. Yes its a free game but why even offer it if you can't provide a server quick enough or fix whatever is the problem?

I read your not fixing issues with this game because the tecs are all busy...???...you could always hire some more??...

If I win a game I lose 40 pts. Sometimes I will win points for losing but very seldom. How does the scoring work?? I am so confused!!

I love playing this game but how on earth is the scoring done you win you lose points you lose you gain points then all of a sudden someone else starts to play & they are into silvers in no time flat or you have been playing the game from the start someone else comes in to play & they are 3/4 yellow with in seconds of playing this is very off putting HELP PLEASE

Dinismurf gave an explanation about this earlier in the thread; I've quoted her answer below...

Every time you earn an award (e.g. for winning a game, obtaining more than 50 silvers), a message comes up at the end telling you so & how many opals this is worth. But you only actually receive opals the 1st time you win each award.

By the way, you should stop introducing yourself and asking people to go to your 4th floor in all the threads; stick to the threads that are about introducing yourself and stop posting the same thing in all the threads...I've seen your same post in at least 3 other threads now...just trying to keep you out of the moderators bad books! lol

I think JQOP should award at least 100opals for the person to clear the board 1st as that is a feat all in itself and should be awarded something for it.
