Ya know what? It's obvious that no one at iwin is monitoring this site on weekends & holidays. This person's site could be considered child p o r n and maybe a call to the police to check out this person's room on iwin maybe called for. This room has been up for the whole holiday season actually and not just this weekend because I found it once before, then lost it. Many people have already flagged this room to no avail. As of 6:15 pm PST on Sunday, this room is still up and on the Featured pages.

What the heck is wrong with iWin. Someone should have a pager or something on for these type of emergencies. Why is this still up???? There's no question of artistic interpretation or political correctness...it's UNACCEPTABLE....It didn't take them any time to suspend Anne's iWin room and she was a helpful moderator. Why is this piece of garbage still on this site. Seriously... I am sooooo sad, mad, and disheartened that this has/is been/being allowed. My friends say that I'm too sensitive but the fact that this room is up and has been up as long as Scotkitty says makes me want to cry and kick (trying to keep it as non-violent as possible) someone at the same time.

sad too is that being on the featured page he is getting visits and grown WOMEN friending him saying stupid-cutsey c r a p things on his wall..
I paid a few of them a visit and said a word or 2 to them,The 1's that didn't leave a message, just friended, I didn't, I think they may just want 'to keep an eye out'. This is so wrong iWin.

I just sent an email to CJ Wolf, who is apparently the CEO of iWin. It may be returned because I don't know if it was the correct email address. There is also a CJ Wolf on Facebook with a lot of iwin games as pages. I sent him a message too. Don't know if that CJ Wolf and the CEO is one in the same....and yes I sent a screen shot of the perverts room... I saw a post early that no one should take screen shots of someone's room.. Whatever.. Mr. CEO needs to know.

I hope we all wake up to find this has been a bad dream. I expect the Big Guys to know what is going on. Dex said that she did leave a message. That was 2 days ago. It is just so wrong to have this continue as it has. We just had the Birth of Jesus, a wonderful gift from our creator. He came down to save us all from the power of the devil. This devil just might burn in HELL. Do you think he will have remorse ? We should pray for him. He will need it in the end.

I for one would like to see him Burn.

goofyduck1 wrote:In order to flag a user's room to alert Customer Service for their intervention, first visit the offending person's hotel room. Then, above their friend's list you will see a bar - "random room/flag/share/help". Click on "flag". It will open a window where you have the option of clicking on either "bad language", "inappropriate profile picture" or "spamming." In the instance of titicat's room, it would be "inappropriate profile picture." You may flag any person's room that fall under the categories listed. For those who want to flag this particularly offensive room, the link is Titicat's Hotel. Posting on the offender's wall will not garner the attention of Customer Service like the "flag" will, although commenting on the message board that he is being flagged will certainly get the message across to the offender that his hotel room and avatar are completely inappropriate and that he is getting the attention of iWin and will be subject to disciplinary action and/or expulsion from the hotel. Thanks - Goofy

Ew, gross! I flagged that one. icky

If you see any disgusting, vulgar or inappropriate room displays by all means, take a screen shot. Whomever made that statement is incorrect. All of our rooms are public property belonging solely to iWin and visible to anyone with a computer or device that connects to the web. Flag the room and send the screen shot to the Customer Support Center attached to a ticket.

Two other rooms have been found since this one and hopefully they will be addressed today also. Seems that only supervisory or managerial personnel can lock rooms so weekends and holidays produce no immediate results on those tickets filed. I am hoping to change this today. No one should be subject to the filth produced by bored teenagers or pedophiles no matter when they are found.

I can't believe that a game site as big as iWin doesn't have in place some way to protect players 24/7. I can guarantee you sites such as Amazon, Ebay & other game sites don't just close shop on holidays & weekends. If no one wants to be on site that can get rid of the type of filth I just flagged then it can be done off site. It would only take 5 min. of their free time to delete such awful things.
As most people now know a lot of workers work at home on their computers & have access to all programs they need. My son is one such worker/supervisor. When a problem occurs off clock for him he is expected to fix said problem. It wouldn't hurt iWin to have such an on call in place to deal with this stuff. I would think after being advised of such a sick room on their site & doing nothing about it would leave iWin open to fines & such.
This room has made me sick .

In my opinion the holidays are no excuse for iwinn's lack of business. It doesn't stop any other site from conducting their business as should be. An internet business is just like any other, and problems should be dealt with on a daily basis, not just when it is convenient for them. But iwinn seems to do everything at THEIR convenience. WAKE UP IWIN. You have an AWESOME site here. Don't blow it. With vulgarity and various other problems on the rise. PEOPLE WILL LEAVE and take their money and business elsewhere. Who could blame them. There are decent kids on here who don't need to be subjected to this kind of trash. not to mention us adults who find it a total turn off. The problems here just seem to keep adding rather than decreasing.

FYI --

In the future if you find a disgusting room display or are alerted to a disgusting display, there is a way to view the room without having to "friend" the perpetrator; go through the website. Open up your browser, then copy & paste the following URL into the address bar, replace USERNAME with the name of the offender and hit Enter. You can create a bookmark to the page while in the process of filing a ticket or to pass it around for others to flag the room. Note: You must be logged into the web site to "Flag" someone's room.

http: //www.iwin.com/hotel/?room=USERNAME

To trick the BBC coding of this message portal, I had to put a space in between the colon and the first backslash so it wouldn't become a hyperlink making it difficult to highlight for copying. So once it is in the address bar, remove the space between the colon and backslash and replace, USERNAME, with the perpetrator's username and hit send.

For those unfamiliar with copying and pasting, see the instructions below:

To highlight this URL address, hold your cursor directly in front of the "h"; move it around until it turns from an arrow to an I-beam. Click and hold the left mouse button down while moving to the right, highlighting the entire URL address. When you get to the last letter go past it by one character and let go of the left mouse button. Now, put your cursor any where on the highlighted text. On your keyboard, hold down the Ctrl key and press down the letter "C" as if typing. Now let go of the Ctrl key. The URL is now on your clipboard - a place which holds temporary memory on your computer. Open up your browser and clear out the existing URL in the address bar. Hold your cursor in the clear address bar and right click. Choose "paste" from the flyout menu. The URL should be there.

Remember to remove the space between the colon and first backslash and replace USERNAME with the person's iWin username and hit enter. Need further help with this exercise, contact me via PM.

That is odd. Why wasn't he suspended???

The fact that this person was told twice to remove room & did not should have got him suspended.
The subject matter of his room should have gotten him suspended.
The fact that iWin did NOT suspend him is more disgusting than his room.
I'm astonished at the way iWin has handled this entire situation.

I have noticed that listing not telling for your age frequently gets changed to age 7 (in my case) After reading comments earlier I am thinking maybe that is why some did not befriend m so I am going to change my profile toactualy age (over 65) Hope this helps

As far as I know, the default for age is "No Telling" and the default birthday is "January 1." If somebody is experiencing a different scenario, please let us or Customer Service know about it. Once your age or birthday has been changed, then it will not revert back to the "default." Thanks - Goofy

Bradford, I seriously hope you're joking, cos otherwise you're in the wrong place!
If that was a joke, it wasn't funny, and it was inappropriate.

For the vast majority of us - we are adults and family oriented.and we as adults are responsible for their safety and protection. Porn has NO PLACE where children are. Play the games, enjoy the hotel rooms, but keep the "Adult" conversations on other sites where it might be considered appropriate and no children present - allowed. Thank you, as a member of Iwin, I would apperiate this.

You are human and diserve diserve everyone's respect as a result. Hopefully it is a rare occurance on this site. May I personally appologize for them and their old thought/;ogoc prejucice!

I learned when I was a very young child to love everyone for who they are inside and the outside becuase we are all beatuful (hope it doeasnt offend) we are all children of God and He loves us all so who are we to feel defferently? Shame on those who do.

acfranks wrote:Does anyone know of a way where I can disallow someone to add me as a friend to their Friends List? Kind of like how they do it on MySpace, for example. I am seeing 7-yr-olds (and other kids more than 3 to 4 times less my age--we simply don't have anything in common) as well as men who are leaving less-than-flattering comments on my Message Wall adding me to their Friends List, and I can't take myself off of someone else's list. Unfortunately, I don't think this feature exists yet, but I thought I'd ask the question and throw the topic out there for consideration.

Along the same lines, I think it would be a good idea to allow us to filter thecthat people add to our Message Walls. I would like the ability to allow or disallow adding certain comments to my Message Wall and certain people to my Friends List because I am starting to see some really rude and vulgar comments show up not only on my Message Wall but on that of other people's. And I'm stating to see pornography enter the Hotel through such comments. Most of it seems to be coming from kids right now, but it will very quickly lead to adults harrassing other adults.

Anne: Are you guys currently developing any features such as the ones I've described to help keep the Hotel a clean, safe, fun place for adults and kids to play in? Are you planning on having something that is for the kids only where they can congregate with each other instead of trying to make friends with people who are 20+years older than them?

All I can do at this point is take a screen shot of the vulgar comments, harassment against anyone including cat fights amongst kids, any lewd or lascivious comments left on Message Walls, etc. and turn them in via the trouble ticket system. I am also concerned about people uploading questionable pictures or downright unacceptible types of pictures to the new custom-expressions picture frames. Likewise, I am concerned about people linking their "magic doors" to dangerous outside links, such as to porno sites or sites that might atuomatically download virus to your computer, etc. I would hope that no one in the Hotel would do that, and I do not believe that the core group of people who hang out in the forums and have gotten to know each other a bit and are familiar with each other's screen names would participate in such activity. But, like I said at the beginning of this post, I am already seeing it happen with people and kids I have never come across before in the Hotel. I am sure there are many, many more people in the Hotel and reading the Forums than any of us really know. So what measures, if any, are you guys at iWin putting in place to safeguard everyone from such things?

And along those lines, would it be possible for those people who are using the "magic doors" responsibly give some sort of indication in the mouse-over description of where the link takes us? That way, I won't be afraid to click on someone's door to see where it goes.

And one more thing: I really think it would be a good idea if iWin would add a button to each post in the forums that would allow anyone to click it if they find a particular post Offensive. As of right now, there is no way to do that. And most forums do have that feature. That would cut down on trouble tickets about that topic alone and could feed into Anne's "watch group" over the forums, and the offensive posts could be handled appropriately by the appropriate iWin staff.

And totally off-topic (sorry): Is there any way to add spell check to the Forums when we're typing our posts? I'm sure this has already been asked, so forgive me for the redundancy. I just don't know if it's possible and, if it is, is iWin is working on including it as a feature in a future upgrade of the Forums.

Just a few ideas and thoughts to ponder.... Thanks for listening.

Cheers,
Christina

makmeluvit wrote: All I can say is, parents, own up and know what your kids are doing online. iwin and any other site for that matter should not be expected to be your personal babysitter. Yeah, I'm that annoying mom, with my chin on my kids shoulder! you should be too!

There are those types parents who don't take the time to invest in their child's personal life. It's unfortunate too because usually end up being like the latch key kids that end up in front of the television set or now it's the computer. When people misbehave like that it's their way of acting out to get someone's attention often times because they aren't getting it at home.

Usually latch key kids are the kids that end up with both parents that work. Back in my day usually they were sent off to a baby sitter or nanny depending on what parents used back then. Not all latch key kids end up behaving badly to go as far as causing trouble or getting in trouble with the law just so you know I don't think all kids behave badly.

Sadly if these children don't get their needs met as children by their parents then they grow up into adults that will struggle with the lack of parenting and an understanding of rules. I think it's good that they have clubs out there for kids to go to that's only if they will use them because there are those kids that think it's lame to get involved with after school programs.

Then you have the type of parents who couldn't care a less about their kids because they are a problem adult. It's a shame they had children because they not only hurt themselves but their child as well too. Most likely they have been damaged by their parents and then it becomes a vicious cycle that needs to be broken.
