i am stuck trying to get the elevator to go back down to the basement. It will only let me go up. Hint keeps saying to go back to hotel, but can't get there. Anyone have any help?

I can tell you that the valve goes on the machine on the right in the basement of the abandoned house in townand the search light goes on the diving suit (to mernski)
to pjohiner: I cant get the elevator to go up only down to the peir and boat cant help you with that one.
i cant find the seventh key i have been everywhere the game will let me go im out of places to search can anyone help?

I'm haveing this exact same issue. The elevator seems a great place to get stuck with no alternative but to start the whole game over. Having missed getting the hachet before going in the elevator the first time, I wasn't allowed to go any further in the game. All I could do was go down the elevator to the docks and stand there. So, I started the game over completely, remembering to grab the hachet first. This time around, I've done everything I can find to do at the sunken church and the graveyard. I've talked with the girl at the dock. But once again, the elevator won't allow me to go back to the basement, despite the hint button telling me I have to back to the cliff. This is highly frustrating and I will definitely not be buying this game now.

THIS GAME IS GREAT. IT HAS IT ALL...HO,M3,STORY AND GRAPHICS. FANTASTIC.
