iWin community from the country of the United States! Do any of you watch America's Got Talent? Then here is the thread about America's Got Talent. There are plenty of talents from across the nation and they have a LOT of great talent such as magicians, singers, comedians, dancing, and acts all in between. I am supporting America's Got Talent and hope many of you will too. Here are some of my favorite acts from the live shows. They are just, amazing!

Hey, ppineapple. Looks like it's just us chickens in here. teehee
It's summer. Most people are out and about, instead of in the house watching tv. Or even on the computer. Have you noticed that there are not many posts in Chatter Central these days? Always happens in the summer. I would be outside, too.... if I could.
I'm a Project Runway fan, and don't have a lot of spare TV time to get involved in AGT or Idol. For some reason, topics on PR never fly, even on discussion boards geared up for fashionistas and fashion designers. So since that won't happen, I'll just slip in here that I agree with the judges' eliminations so far on PR.
Although I have limited experience with AGT or Idol, I prefer AGT because there is a greater breadth of both talent and age, etc.
I don't know about anybody else but I just saw this thread. I watch AGT all the time.
I really like the variety of acts, but have to say that I don't see how some would translate into a Vegas show. Which is why I'm not even sure why they even put through acts like the Captain & Maybelle, The Rhinestone Ropers & The Fearless Flores Family with the caged cycles. While they are talented in their own way, it seems to me that they would be more of a carnival/circus or sideshow act. Does anyone else agree
On the other hand the Silhouettes and the Trio with the Russian bar I could see as a Vegas show even though neither would be what immediately springs to mind if someone said I saw a show in Vegas. When I think Vegas I think of singers, magicians, dancers. I like Anna Graceman, Daniel Joseph Baker, Lys Agnes & Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.... I think they are all talented singers. I love the energy & precision that the Miami All Stars & Team iLuminate bring to the stage.
I'm just glad I don't have to pick the winner cause I wouldn't be able to decide
There's always a little bit of Circus (Circus) in Vegas. Cirque de Soleil and the Blue Man Group are very different both from each other and from the run-of-the-mill Vegas act. Now, Rhinestone Ropers... I don't know about that.
i've only mainly watched the auditions and a few of the semi-final ones. i really LOVE the African guys that do all the crazy tumbling and tricks. I can't remember the team's name though, are they still in? Oh, also loved the group with one girl and a bunch of guys that did all these insanely dangerous and amazing tricks on poles, who were they?
I agree 'bout "PROJECT ILLUMINATE" though, that is some COOL stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chloe, those finale acts were the Miami All-Stars for the tumbling and tricks. And I think you meant the Russian Bar Trio with two guys and one girl. I really liked all the kid acts like Anna Graceman, PopLyfe, and those adorable Calico Hearts. I'm really shocked for Avery & The Calico Hearts to be eliminated because Piers didn't buzz them and he got a very nice comment for them. The "too early" sentence wasn't neccessary. I believe they should be chosen for the Wild Card acts as well as The Kinetic King. His failing act was a disaster because of the stickiness of the popsicle sticks.
Half of my favorite acts went through to the semi-finals like Lys Agnes, Silhouettes, the Russian Bar Trio, and Anna Graceman.
I'm very disappointed the public didn't vote for Kinetic King, Zuma Zuma, Avery & The Calico Hearts, and the Fearless Flores Family enough to get them through. They were very daring, exotic, and successful acts. I'm extremely riddled why Cindy Chang, another opera singer didn't make it through. She had a wonderful, angelic voice and blew the audience and judges away. I've been wondering what went wrong with her Vegas week or why didn't she make it to the quarter-finals.
I'm not really a big fan of Project Illuminate now because Fighting Gravity from last year already performed and wowed the audience.
Since I spent most of the summer in the States and NJH was catching up on the chance to watch some familiar TV, I saw a few AGT shows myself. I really liked the dance groups Project Illuminate, Miami All-Stars and especially the high school group who did the mutant dance in the semis (GREAT make-up, as well as choreography). I also like Poplyfe a lot, so I'm pretty happy with the selection for the final.
But I CANNOT see the appeal of Lys Agnes (apart from the fact she's attractive and seems like a nice person who's suffered a lot). If you're going to have an opera singer, choose someone who really excels at opera singing and doesn't try to water it down or adapt her voice for more popular songs. She is far from one of the best opera talents I've heard, and on the other hand, has a rather artificial, over-stagey sound when she sings other material.
I'm back in China now, so won't get to see the final, but I REALLY hope she doesn't win.
