Has anyone played the game yet, I am having more problems with it, first it froze on me and caused me to have to hard reboot and that caused my computer to do a disc check which took forever, finally got the game bought and it does not close down normally it took forever andhad to go to /ctrl/alt/delete to get it to close and then it did alll sorts of wierd things and I left the room and took a swim to let it sort itself out and came back and at least the game had closed and I actually got my opals which really surprised me but afraid to open the game again and I really want to keep playing....

Terrie -- I signed up on Monday to get advanced notification about this game and did not. Was there a cut off date for pre-enrollment? It appears I'm not the only one to be missed with the exclusive email. My mail filter is set to receive anything from iWin. Can you shed some light on this? Did the software problems precipitating from the 2.79 deployment halt this offer?

Received my advance email Wednesday and downloaded (took quite a while to download). Played for about 15 minutes so far. No problems getting in, playing, getting out or getting opals rewarded. Great graphics, like it so far.

Note: It did take about 30 seconds to close out and reward opals, but so does Jo Jo's FS 2, so I'm used to that.

Hi, I downloaded the 30min trial and had about 10mins play time. I had to reboot twice and gave up after the third try. It looks as if it would be a good game however I am not going to risk buying as it froze out my whole pc.
hope you can enjoy the game

I am one of the unlucky people whose computer doesn't make the grade. You need 768 Mb RAM and a processor with gigabyte(s) speed. Bill Gates do you give needy game players faster computers when they need them? There should be a charity formed just for us...

Bummer that the ad was misleading since there was a letdown right after I reviewed that. I had first looked at the ad itself a little lower on the Game Detail page and saw 60-minute free trial, so when I moved up to click Download and saw it say only 30 minutes, it was quite the letdown. And it IS taking about an hour to download, but should be worth the wait. When's the next one?

OK, so I have played this game for several hours now and I have to say, it follows the "Jewel Quest" thing, but I am abit let down. Maybe I expected more than the usual, but the hype led me to believe that this would be an ultra-fantastic game. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but in the end it just falls short in my opinion. And we all know how opinions go, so I hope that others are jammed about this game. I haven't finished it yet so I hope that I can cheerfully eat these words. I would be glad to do just that. I am not a hater, so Please do not hate on me. I just wish that maybe there would have been a little more umph. The travelling thing is good but just a little shakey. So, I love everything Jewel Quest but as of this moment, I have to say that this game just leaves me wondering what could they have done better. Anyone?

After I play this game for 30 minutes(60 minutes) , I will come back and post my findings...Normally I really don't have any problems with the games here....This game looks like it would be fun to play and the graphics look awesome....

I just finished my free trail and found the game to be: to long of intro, game freezes and black out screen between scenes...Will wait abit before I buy this game....But the game does look like it would be fun to play..

Well, I just finished the game and unless I pressed a button too soon, it left me wondering why I played it and collected all the pieces. So, I will play it again and not be so quick press buttons. I hope I get a better ending.

I tried to play the 30 min free and my PC froze 3x and i actually had approx 8 mins of play time. PC lagged and most I saw was a black screen while PC was loading. Windows 7 here with XP and tons of memory & room. I be hesitant to purchase til bugs are gone. BTW I had to reboot 3x and it cost me play time

Ditto everyone else's comments. Loved the first one. Really looked forward to this one. Freezes up every time. And I've got a killer-fast computer. I hope we'll get a revised, improved version FOR FREE when they get the kinks out. For now, I'm not playing it any more.

This is a wonderful game. The sound track is great, the games are challanging, the story line is interesting. Too bad it's a piece of c**p.
I am very disappointed. Cannot get this game to run, and now I getting a message that you can't run two games at a time so I guess it never closed. Had to unplug my computer to get out of it. AARRRGG!

I'm very aggravated. I like the game but it keeps crashing repeatedly. I never had any trouble with other JQ games. If anyone knows how to fix this on Vista, let me know.

I have really enjoyed both JQM games, and have especially enjoyed this second one. I have been playing it off and on ever since it came out and have had no technical troubles or Opal-awarding problems until today.

First, the game crashed after I played for 57 minutes. Yet, despite the game crash, I was still awarded the 134 (57 mins x 2 Opals/min) Opals I rightfully earned.

Then, second, when I went back into the game to make sure my gameplay progress had been saved, I continued to play for another 2.5 hours (150 mins) and was rather pleased because my progress from the 1st round of gameplay today had indeed been saved despite the error messages I had recieved stating otherwise. So I picked up where I had left off.

Then, when I got tired and decided to exit the game after 2.5 hrs of playing, the iWin Games Manager crashed, which has never happened to me before. So, of course, I was NOT awarded ANY Opals for that 2.5 hrs I played the second time around. I should have been awarded 300 Opals for that gameplay session. And, yes, I'm a bit upset about that. That's a lot of playing for me at one time to earn a lot of Opals at once. I've been planning a room, but I need a certain amount of Opals to spend in order to make it work.

So has anyone else run into this problem of the Games Manager crashing and therefore not awarding you the Opals you should have earned from playing the game you just exited, particularly this JQM2 game? . It's just that I'm surprised that the Games Manager crashed the second time I played today vs. the game crash earlier in the day.

Anyway, please forgive my rant. I know that there is nothing that can be done about this. It just makes me feel bad when I feel I've worked hard to earn a substantial amount of Opals, only to feel like I got kicked in the teeth with the Games Manager crashing at just the wrong moment. Other than all that, I still really love this particular game and have recommended it to other people. I just wish it would be made available to other portals. Actually, I would prefer to buy it retail, like at Walmart. Hmmmm..... That's something for me to think about and consider for iWin exclusive, premium, never-to-be-released-anywhere-else games that I really like, such as the Jewel Quest series, especially the Jewel Quest Mysteries series.

If anyone has any ideas on what happened with my Games Manager (yes, I have the most recent version) or has experienced similar problems with the actual JQM2 game, please let me know if you know of a way to prevent this from happening again? Also, I think I should limit my gameplay sessions to about 1 hour. Play for 1 hour to earn Opals, then exit game to be awarded those Opals. Wait a few minutes, and do it again. It seems that every time I play for a "longer" period of time, such as 2+ hrs, something like this crashing business happens.

Thanks for anyone who can help or just offer a few words of support (because I know iWin CS sure won't).

Cheers,
Christina

There is an article in the iWin Knowledge Base regarding this game here: JQM2: Trial of the Midnight Heart System Requirements. It may shed some light on your difficulties with this game on your system. If your computer meets all of the requirements and you still are having difficulties, you may file a ticket with the Customer Support Center, third tab.

:evil :Nice Game but total waste of money..Takes for ever to load. So far have spent more time waiting for each segment to load then time playing .Curser falters most of the time. It is stated nowhere how much memory is required...

Yes, there is information available. Look up 2 threads where I gave a link to game requirements. •••MaryBeth ··· Volunteer Forum Moderator

Played the demo; was really pleased with gameplay. UNTIL game crashed. At Monkey City Ruins with the chocolate chip and raisin as the first items to find, I found all items and the 3rd piece of the jewel board. Get the completed message. But when it starts to go to the jewel board, game shuts down. So can't finish playing the demo
