Well here we are w 1 race left b4 th Chase~if u don't know what i'm talking about feel free to leave th room

Basic questions here: But enough to get th conversation started

1~Who's your FAVORITE driver?
2~Who REALLY ticks you off?
3~Who do you think's gonna win th chase?

Me?
1~Smoke aka Tony Stewart
2~Juan Pable Montoya
3~good question?? I think I'll answer that after Richmond next week

Ler's see~~~Tony just finished 1st in th Texas race, th 8th race of The Chase, & it was his 4th win out of those 8 races~~Yep, I think we have a real chance at this thing.

When they tested @ th re-configured Phoenix Raceway guess who tested fastest???

I'd love to see Junior win a couple. Or even just one. This is a #14 household, but Junior has been racing smart and deserves a win. Also, as a card-carrying geriatric, I have a soft spot in my heart for Mark Martin. There's lots of good folks in the field.

I agree, Grid, should b a great season.

I met Kasey Kahne when he was a rookie, got his autograph too. They came out to th local casino when it was 1st taken over by Harrah's. I've co-incidentally bn to Enumclaw Wa as well, lovely little forest town. Saw th Scottish Games there.

Anyway~c'mon February ! ! ! Go Stewart/Hass ! ! ! ah, that includes Danica, huh? Must hav s/thing if Tony's taking her under his wing~~th other day she said that now she has fenders & knows how to use 'em . She's done pretty well w "th good 'ol boys" so far so Go Danica as well.

hmmmm~even tho Fontana sucks, trackwise, it's a thought...Sonoma's a good track lotsa different drivers on road courses altho there's so much crossover with drivers anymore it's getting to be moot~Danica's a good example. PERsonally, I think she has done better representing than JPM......I'm just sayin'.......

AH MAAAANNNNNNNNN what a bummer~Smoke was sooo close but that was a perfect miove that "Wild Thing" formerly Rowdy made for the win & th MILLION bucks.

They say ya never remember who came in 2nd in th Bud Shootout~I think I'll remember this one~

Oh, NASCAR....., I'm thinking that driver-driver radio might b a good thing to re-instate. 2 of those wrecks 2nite were caused, in part, bc there was no communication between drivers~any comments??

That driving deserves some respect, and I don't even like Shrub.

Sorry Tony... pity that Kurt couldn't win it, I think his team needs the money.

P.S. Which would you rather have? Close like the Chase results last year or close like the finish tonight? Think how Poor Carl felt.

GIANT KUDOS FOR DANICA

After that shocking impact wreck Thursday in the Duals she not only got back in a race car~DW says most guys would take a few days off but QUALIFIED FOR THE POLE in the 1st Nationwide Series Race @ Daytona.

Even my good ol' boy biker hubby had to give a nod to her for that.

DW is full of it, those guys run with 104 fevers and gushing at both ends - well, at least for the minimum # of laps before they hand off to a backup driver, LOL. She said her size helped, I guess she's snugged down in that seat and HANS device pretty good. I worried more abt Jeff Gordon than I worried abt Danica in that qualifying run. He's going to be a cripple when he gets older, with spine arthritis, that's my guess at least.

EEEWWWWW that was awful for just about everyone but th new Mrs Buescher~
Danica certainly got ***edited for language*** & by her own rookie teammate~~she can swear like a man anyway~~
not quite sure what happened there @ th end of th Nationwide but something sure did~~but that's DAYTONA~~

And tomorrow th real race begins~~

Well, Junior can have a little team meeting and down the road both Danica and the new guy will do better. Pity about Tony though. And yeah, that's Daytona.

Well, boys & girls~that concludes our week in Florida~EVERYone got to use their particular skills INCLUDING firefighters. Congrats to Mr Kenseth tho he should hav an asterisk but that's an editorial comment so.....On to Phoenix & a little less drama~I hope. Still a long season ahead of us~I'll stick with Stewart.

Did I say less drama it's hard to compete when equipment takes a powder~doesn't matter if it was manufacturer defect or not the outcome was the same~~~~22nd ! ! !

So off to Las Vegas~it's all it's cracked up to be~crazy town anyway but they give NASCAR free rein & those boys know how to make use of it not uncommon for a team to hav a $60,000 to $80,000 hotel bill I want some ..............

YAY SMOKE finally a win @ Las Vegas. it's good to check places off th list And what an early win~waited 'til th chase last year. That was a wonderful group of restarts that Tony put together! ! ! Especially that 1st one ~!it's my 1st place & i'm takin it back ~good racing, really good racing.

And cannot forget to give Jr a big sweep of the hat ~those were some great laps led early. Gonna hear from JuneBug this year

Ya, I'm concerned re: Eric McClure, though. still, w/o SAFER barriers and the HANS device I'm not sure we'd have him around to be concerned about. Last thing I read was "overnight observaton" which could mean anything but I hope it's good news.

Talledega's not my favorite track, but I'll be watching as I grade papers.
