Hello everyone, As we all know this is the Tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 Attacks. If willing we should all try and dedicate one floor to those who have given their lives on that day and for the troops who have given since then. God bless the ones who have survived without their loved ones.
9/11 was a tragedy for the entire world, but especially for Americans.
My heart went out to you then as it does today.
Prayers for all the victims & their families & friends.
Lyn
Thank u Lyn, it's nice that s/1 who's not an American can feel for our tragedy~it certainly changed OUR world. I remember thinking @ th tme that this must be what it was like when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor~~
good idea regarding doing a floor mine is th 23rd
WHERE WERE YOU ON 9/11??
I was on a train from San Diego to Eugene Oregon. Only a few ppl had cell phones then & the info was sporatic & jumbled~th train slowed to 50 mph & it took an extra 3 hrs to get there. Hubby picked me up @ station on his motorcycle & we went to our friend's house running practically every light in town. When I asked him about it he said they had more to worry about than us. When we got there & started watching it on TV th 1st image i saw was the 2nd plane hitting th tower. I remember screaming in horror.

It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years since that horrible day. I was working at school and any information we received was second hand thru family members elsewhere. Some parents came in to pick up their children and take them home. For the rest of the day there was an eerie feeling as we all sat around in disbelief trying to get information about the events that were occuring just a few miles from where we were. My ride home quickly proved that this was no hoax as I watched in horror at the blackened sky from the smoke billlowing from the two burning towers. When the second tower was hit, along with it went all communication, tv, radio, internet, cell phones.
I am thankful everyday for the brave men and women who choose to fight to protect us and keep us safe. My prayers go out to them and their families. I hope the tradgedies of that day will never ever be repeated.
SEPTEMBER 12th~~a new future for New Yorkers & all the vicitms & families of 9/11~~learn what you can about the new WTC, Memorial, & Museum of 9/11 artifacts~~I think New Yorkers are wonderfully endowed with an indommitible spirit & love of their city~May God Bless all who have worked so hard to get the Memorial & Towers ready for yesterday, the 10th anniversary.
The photo I had up on my 23rd floor of the attack has been replaced by artists rendition of how it will look when completed approx 2014~~.MUCH NICER
