How would you deal with this situation?

This is just a fictional scenario, nothing personal in my life about this, but how would you deal with this situation if you were in it?

SCENARIO: A person's leg is hurt and that person can't stand up from the ground after tripping on a rock. The setting is at a marina/yacht club and it's about bedtime for most children. There is nobody around except for you and the injured man. You didn't bring any type of device to call for help and the only transportation you have is your car. You brought your first aid kit, but the only items you have is a bottle of water and a few aspirin pills. You don't know the nearest hospitals in the area or how to get there.

What do you do? It's all up to you. Answers please.

I can't assume I know the extent of the man's injuries. If he is not in imminent danger (a tsunami is inbound) I'm not going to move him without professional help. I would give him my bottle of water (and if he looks at all heart-attacky, an aspirin), plus my jacket or anything I have in the car to provide comfort or warmth, then I would high tail it in my car to the nearest place to call the Rescue Squad, EMTs, fireman, policemen... whomever! Then I would go back to wait for their arrival.

Sounds about right for all concerned physically & legally. Given, however, that it is a marina there should be some type of emergency telephone close at hand, but that also requires an assumption.

Since it was a hypothetical, the assumption I made was that PP chose a marina as a remote place where there might not be anyone around and there might not be an easily accessible telephone. Most have a pay phone, but I've sure seen those that are basically an isolated collection of non-descript shacks that close up except for the weekend. That was what I was imagining as the scenario.

You could always ask, "You're hiking in the wilderness and..." the rest of it. Of course, the answer there is why are you hiking in the wilderness so ill prepared? Want to have your own big budget movie and appearances on Leno and Letterman, where people call you a hero for getting out of a situation into which your own lack of planning put you? (Not that I have an opinion.)

I think i would get the man in my car an take the bottle of water with me. Than ride to the nearest place were are human and ask them to call the hospital. Why bringing the bottle of water?? When the man gets nasty... you can always hit him on the head with the bottle (since you already are on the way for a hospital it doesnt matter )
