Two Questions: Will we need to buy the on line version now that beta is over?
Will the opals be over & above the current daily game play liimit or will they be counted in the limit?

JQOP will stay free for everyone for the time being. We have no plans at this time to charge for it.

And, yes, any Opals you earn playing JQOP (or any game on iWin) go toward your daily limit.

yesterday and today it seemed not possible to chat, this was afer the update for JQ

Last night I played half the night, this morning I can't get the game to load. It will load all the way up to the game background but will not load the game board or pieces just the background. It keeps saying checking for current versions left that running for about 30 minutes just to see, and nothing still Am i missing something or is this a common problem?

Same thing for me. I played last night, and earlier this morning, all was fine.
But just now, it wont play. When i get in a room, i get only the graphics. No other players name, no board, no nothing..
But it looks like other players are there, so it's not everyone.
Hope this get fix soon, love to play even if i dont win..lol

The game is working fine for me..........love it, love it, love it!!! I actually placed 1st twice in two different groups last night. It's alot of
fun Going back for more tonight, off from work tomorrow, so I guess I'll just sleep in LOL

My only issue w/ the game is the weird delay i get sometimes. Where the game is over, but I can still match jewels. I'm not sure if it's affecting my win or not.

I thoroughly enjoy this game. I liked it as a regular game, but online is so much more fun! It's hard sometimes to say "Enough! I need to go to bed!". Rather addictive.

I love playing but I keep getting worse at it! What happens when my ranking gets to zero? Also, what is the daily limit people are talking about?

I believe the daily limit being discussed is that of Opals. The most Opals that can be earned in gameplay is 720 for a 24 hour period.

I luv this game and to date ive had no problems with playing,,I do tend to see the ,, rating ,, etc being a little off,, but it doesnt spoil the game for me ,,although it ate my highest rating and gave me a lower one,,but thats ok

ok ive changed my mind I do appear to be getting the opals I collect for time play on this game,,but never seem to recieve the opals that I "win" I have just gone from,, 1,060 opals to 1,037 opals for no apparent reason,,I have not bought anything today at all ,,yet

I'm loving it - but totally confused on this rating business. Seems the more I play - and even the more I win - my rating keeps going down. I see others up around 1200-1800 - and I'm at alittle ole 60 - geesh

I'm loving the game also, but am confused about the scoring, how is it scored? Are there more points for the type of move you make?

I can't get this game to work, emailing the help was a joke. I have reinstalled this game three times and it never works.

Im having problems with this game loading. It will load all the way but as soon as I go to move my mouse the whole computer freezes. I cant even do cntrl alt del. to get out of it. Have to do a hard shut down. All other online games work including the jewel quest 2 tournament version. Any ideas???

i've had no issues with jewl quest online party at all. it's worked great up til yesterday. now when i try to play i just get a black screen. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times with no luck. anyone else having this problem?

I had a similar problem two days ago with Jewel Quest. I would log on and I could hear the sounds but there was no screen. I had uninstalled it through game manager, but it never helped.
My son showed me how to uninstall it through Vista instead of going through iwin. I then went back to iwin, reinstalled it, and I haven't had a problem since. It may help, I really don't know. It just happened to help me.

thanks so much for the suggestion. i tried that too and it's still not working, but i truly appreciate the advice. the forums tend to be the IT place for me to turn to when i need help with something concerning iwin. i've submitted a ticket, but ho hum, the response i get don't usually tend to help much. fingers crossed... i really enjoy the game!

Ive tried un installing and re installing...I checked my drivers to be sure they are all up to date....done all the normal things you can do but still cant seem to get it to work. Everything loads just fine it seems until I move my mouse then BAM all froze up. Not sure what gives since all other games work for me within the site. Hopefully some of you smart techies that wander around here can help me out. I'd love to be able to play.

Hi! Hope everyone is enjoying this game as much as I am. It is quite addictive. LOL Anyway is anyone having difficulty collecting the opals they win and is anyone else finding that their game stats are all screwed up? It would be nice to get the opals you earn but I would play even without opals. This is kind of off subject but I sure wish they could take the game Treasures of Montezuma and do an online game like Jewel Quest with it. Hope to see you all in the game rooms. Bye.

How come my game wont connect, i have tried everything can someone please help me

Is there anywhere that has a listing of the minimum computer specifications to play the game? It's all very vague. I can play it ok but my screen lags fiercely at the start of the game when there are the maximum movements on the board and between the players. I have an older 2.4Ghz machine with a GX850 graphics card and 1Gb of ram and it still lags.

How do I get my avatar to show on jewelquest

How is the game scored? If I finish first and start siver coins can be way ahead and still lose I don't understand the scoring can anyone help me.

Have you checked whether your firewall is blocking internet access to the game? You may need to make iwin one of your trusted sites if you have not already done so and allow the game to access the internet.

I have the same issue as SengaFox with not receiving the opals I "win" in the game. What rule/guideline do I not understand yet?

Does anybody knowes how to get in touch with a member ? I met somebody here and want to meet her again but don't know how to do it...

Do you know the user name of the player? If you do, there are 2 ways to contact her. The first is by using Private Messaging. It's at the top of the forum page with the orange envelope, click on it. Open up a New Topic, blue box on left side of page above large blue horizontal stripe. On the right side of the TO USER: box is a radio button which says, Find User, click on it. Another smaller window appears. Put the user name into the box and click on Search. A scroll down menu appears with user names matching the spelling of the name you entered. Find the exact user name match, click on it. The name should populate the box. Click on Choose the User, the small window disappears and the user name is in the message box. You can send a message now. The other way is through your friend's list on your profile in the hotel. At the bottom of the Friend's List is a button which says, Add Friend+, click on it. Put the user name into the box and click on ADD FRIEND. Their avatar should appear alphabetically in your list. Just click on their avatar and you'll be taken to their room where you can leave a message. None of these utilities can find a user by their real names.

Every time you earn an award (e.g. for winning a game, obtaining more than 50 silvers), a message comes up at the end telling you so & how many opals this is worth. But you only actually receive opals the 1st time you win each award.

As for the 7 opals per game you should be earning, JQ is still a beta & so this element of the game does not always seem to work. It is a known issue, which was mentioned in an earlier discussion about JQ online.

My best score shows as 10,717---- I've scored over 11,000 and even over 13,000, but my best score doesn't change, how come???

Mine doesn't either: it's still stuck at the highest score I got the 1st time I played. I think this is also one of those low priority glitches that will be fixed later in the beta process, as it doesn't really affect gameplay. At least we are all in the same boat - I think.

I just got through speaking to Markus regarding the issues surrounding this game. (11AM - PDT) JQOP is still in the beta state and iWin is aware of the problems users are experiencing with the ratings system and Opal awarding. Due to other projects in the works at iWin right now, software engineers are not available to troubleshoot the code at this time. When the work load lightens and software engineers become available, the issues for JQOP will be addressed.

not getting bonus opals just the 7 you get for playing, also my rating has never gone up from 100, even though i'm clearing the board and collecting over 100 silvers at times, very frustrating.

I love the game but it seems you can not win much when playing in tournament mode. Anyone else find that to be true?

I agree it is fun to play but it seems so hard to win tournaments. Maybe its meant to be like that though.

Love playing JQ. I just got into it. But I'm not able to leave notes in there unless I go to a person's profile and use "whisper". Do you know why this is?
I type the message in the lower left bottom, it shows up there but but how do I get it to post?

For me, I just type the message in the box, press enter & it appear a few seconds later on the main message screen.

But I know a very few users are still unable to post: you may be one of these. I'm afraid it's just one more thing you have to wait for the techs to get round to solving, though I think your problem should be a higher priority than, e.g. our top scores not being updated, since it really impacts on your enjoyment of the whole JQOL experience.

Why all the problems with the online jewel quest game? downloading can take almost an hour. If the site gives problems all the time, how can you enjoy it?

I purchased this game about 2-3 years ago and was totally hooked then - my computer crashed and lost game. When Online Party came on I immediately joined again and am once again hooked - only problem I can't seem to chat when I'm playing so please no offense to those who have tried to chat with me - I just don't have a chat option -
Game is scored by highest score ponts, so even if you get to sliver and have alot of silver coins, what you scored in numbers is what counts hope this helps.

yes I am familiar & used to have this problem constantly. I found that my computer was too full & operated too slow. I got a new computer and this problem disappeared. I couldn't figure if it was the game or my computer, it was my computer. You can try to do some clean up on your system if U have alot on it, make sure U don't have alot of stuff running in the backround when playing, and do a little maintenance, also deleting old games and stuff UR not using may help correct the problem. UR avatar is missing a mouth U can C, U can fix it by reinstalling a mouth so it will show up again.

I had posted a question about JQOP which appears to have been deleted.
I know that there is a "glitch" with getting Opals awarded for JQOP play... what my basic question is: Is it worth the time & trouble to file a ticket with Customer Support?
As a new member, I haven't done one yet & it looks complicated.
If this is not the correct thread to ask this question please advise, don't just delete me....Please.
