I have just finished my Futuristic Floor and really, really wanted two earth stickers. Every time I bought a second one - at 180 opals - the first one disappeared into storage.
I ended up buying a wooden porthole instead.
Are two stickers not allowed on the same floor? Why?

Basically, each member agrees in part not to impersonate anyone; harass, stalk, harm or abuse another person or encourage these behaviors; or publish falsehoods, misrepresentations or disparaging content that is harmful to iWin, its agents or 3rd parties. Clearly, the crude & vulgar language and the personal attacks are not in compliance with the Terms of Service.

As the moderators have mentioned on numerous occasions, iWin support does not actively patrol the Hotel and the Forums. The Forums are the primary responsibility of the moderating team. Despite what members may have heard to the contrary, the moderators have access to edit and delete ONLY those posts in the FORUMS. The moderators are paying members, just like most others, and while visiting Hotel rooms for decorating inspiration, if we see this behavior, we will report it. But, it is not our responsibility as moderators to patrol the Hotel seeking out this behavior to report it to Support. We are not a substitute for Support and therefore reporting this behavior to us does not accomplish anything. There is nothing we can do; we CANNOT remove any of this language or these personal attacks.

This behavior is a community issue and it is time for the community as a whole to decide what type of experience it wants from the Hotel. If you are tired of all the foul/crude/vulgar language and the personal attacks, then it is time to step-up, say enough is enough, and be part of the solution. When you see this behavior, take a screen shot, and file a ticket with Support under the Community & Abuse report category. If you are the recipient of this behavior, take a screen shot, file a ticket, then put the offender on ignore and DELETE the message. If you leave the message up for all to see, you are sending a message that this behavior will be tolerated. If you are one of those individuals who encourage this type of behavior, then you need to realize that you are part of the problem as well. You may not use this language or make the personal attacks, but by encouraging this behavior you are in violation of the Terms of Service which can result in a member being banned from the site.

Remember, your actions now could ultimately play a part in deciding the future and fate of the iWin Hotel.

It seems that whenever I turn around, I am being told about someone bullying or attacking someone else in the Hotel...Now the Hotel is not in the realm of the moderators' responsibilities but since we get pulled in when users get desperate for help, we thought it might be time for a reminder about how to deal with those dreaded trolls who come in just to cause trouble. The first and most important bit of advice - IGNORE THEM! Yes, ignore them...goes against the grain but that is the most efficient way to deal with them and cut them off at the pass. Trolls want attention and they go around being bullies and saying rude and nasty things to get your hackles up and get a reaction out of you...so do not give them what they want - attention. [/b]

[list]Second step - Flag their rooms if they post about you there[/list]
[list]Third step - Take screen shots of everything they say [/list]

Before I go too far into the 'how', I want to stress the importance of filing the ticket under the right Request type! It is very important that you select the correct request type applicable to your situation. If you are having trouble getting a custom picture frame to work, don’t mark it Community & Abuse. If you want to report a rude post to your wall or an inappropriate room, don't mark it Hotel iWin. There’s a good reason for these dropdowns; if the proper dropdown for a situation is chosen then iWin agents can detect the problems much quicker. So now that you have the right type of ticket selected , on to the ticket itself...

Below are some tips to providing good information.[/b][/color]

[b]STEP 1: Describe the problem:[/b]
1. Be concise in the Summary - it is the first thing the agents see so be clear as to the issue
2. Complete all the boxes giving as much information as possible. Each Request Type brings up different boxes to check so read the screen carefully.
3. Tell the agents what the issue is, clearly and without bringing your emotions into it.
4. What is the specific point of failure in the process? Again, being as precise as possible will give the agents a better point to start from.
5. What is the exact wording of any error messages you receive?


[b] Step 2: Provide useful supplemental information. [/b]
The more information Support has, the greater the likelihood they'll be able to identify and solve your problem.
1. Send in a screen shot; this is particularly important when reporting under Community & Abuse.
2. Provide Support with your dxdiag file - contains your hardware specifications so they can determine any compatibility issues.

[color=darkblue]You are never dealing with an automated system but real people! Yes, that first response may seem auto-generated but it’s actually the first step in a process of elimination. The initial solution offered may take you through a checklist of updates to eliminate simple tweaks and possibilities, basically the Troubleshooting guide; if you’ve followed those steps already, then let Support know.[b] Once you've tried those, if the issue still isn't resolved and you can't do whatever you were trying to do, then decline the solution and have them try again. DO NOT open a new ticket; decline the solution on the original ticket to have Support reopen and continue! [/b]Different computers, different configurations, different solutions...Unless you advise Support the solution offered didn't work for you, how are they to know to try something else?

You can check the status of your ticket by looking under My Support in the Support portal. If you feel it's been too long without a response, then you can always ask for an update. Depending on the issue and the comlexity, it can take anything from a few hours to several days for an agent to respond with more information. If they have nothing new to say on the issue, they will NOT send out an update. Remember that while an agent is responding to your update request, that agent is not working on the issue you need help with so be patient.

[b]Just remember - ONE TICKET![/b] Multiple submissions just send you back to the beginning of the process with probably a different agent/technician and so the cycle begins again...no one likes getting the same answers over & over so why go through that? :?: :? [b]Stick to one ticket per issue![/b] Explain clearly (and politely) what your problem is; remember that the agents did not cause the problem so don't take your frustrations out on them...Keep working with Support and they will do their best to get you going again…you just have to give them a chance; it’s a process of elimination and can take a few tries so be patient…Think about it; iWin gains nothing by making you unhappy...unhappy customers don't buy games so what would be the point?

I read somewhere in the Forums in a post from MarkusiWin that said each agent or technician has an average weekly case load of over 500 tickets; that's a lot of help being given! Support isn't a huge department but really just a small group of people doing their best to deal with the nearly 160,000 registered users...So can we give them a break? If they read these Forums or some Hotel walls (and some probably do in their time off...), imagine how they must feel? You might want to think about that the next time the urge takes you to blast the Support staff in the Forums or on your walls or in a ticket...you might be blasting that nice player from JQ you had such fun chatting to or that sweet guy who drops by your room once in a while to say hi...just saying, they are people too![/color]

I noticed that with some of those picture frames you can put pictures in them so maybe people could make a get well card that can be displayed in the hotel? It would be nice if you could make some sort of greeting and send it to another player.

My problem:
I build rooms and want my mother in germany to be able to find them while she is just a guest, NOT logged in.

She sees a hundred of little pictures under "meet others", ten of those at least belonging to the same person!
She would never be able to find my own rooms, there are too many! And too many from just ONE member.

Either a function right above: search members
Or: just ONE picture per member and only the last room that has become ready, so that she has a chance to scroll and see EVERY members rooms.

Alot of us are hoping for Halloween theme items.
Even if we don't get them we can still make our own spooky creations.

I think if you have made it to the 13th floor it would be a perfect place,
for a room on a floor that doesn't exist in most hotels!

Any floor would do - doesn't have to be 13th floor.
We can make our own Halloween rooms! And if iWin offers holiday theme items so much the better!



We don't have to have a contest...let's just do it for fun and see what we can come up with.
