Game Description

Prepare to strike it rich in Westward III: Gold Rush! When gold is discovered in the Northern California wilderness, speculators flock west in hopes of striking it rich. Along the way the kind-hearted, but financially struggling, Baron family welcomes three weary travelers into their home and offers them a place to rest. Grateful for their hospitality, the pioneers make a promise to repay the family for their kindness and generosity when they are settled.

Steer the fortunes of three adventurous pioneers as they build and defend their ever-growing settlement from dangerous bandits determined to cheat or steal from anyone they cross. Explore uncharted terrain rich in natural resources, where gold is abundant and treachery hides behind every handshake, and gather the supplies needed to build your dusty tent settlement into a thriving boomtown. Customize your town with over 50 buildings, luxuries and upgrades, and hire lawmen and gunslingers to keep the peace.

In Westward III: Gold Rush, fortune is yours for the taking!

I have no luck with these Westward games, and normally I'm very good at TM and some Tycoon. Loved the game Castaway the Island, but I've tried Westward, number II, and then this one. I seem to have a problem running out of food and my citizens dying or leaving town due to hunger. I cannot seem to find much food, or purchase what I need. It's aggravating. These games are just too difficult. Plus I really hate scrolling all over, because half the time I can't find the person I need. You have to drag them around, or right click, instead of just using your mouse and clicking where you want them to go. Somehow the right click feature to bring them to the spot isn't that effective. I gave up after playing for an hour on this. See more See less

This game is not what I thought it would be like. The song kept repeating itself and I could hardly understand what the pictures was. See more See less

This game was just the same as the other two Westward series. It is pretty repetitive when you play it. Westward 3 Gold Rush was at least better than the last two the company have created. When I first started, it took a long time to load up the game, it took at least 15 minutes to set up the game and run Westward 3. I would have to give teh game a C plus because the gaming of this game was slow and keeps pausing every second I move the mouse. See more See less
