Job Description:

iWin is seeking an experienced social games designer with multiple years of experience driving the creative vision for high-profile casual and mass-market titles. The ideal candidate will have served as senior or lead designer on at least two successful casual or mass-market titles. Must have proven success driving a game's overall creative vision, and working in collaboration with internal and external teams of programmers, artists, and producers. This role may be contract or salaried FTE.

Job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the quality and timeliness of all creative efforts on at least one major internal IP, plus creative contributions to multiple projects.
• Own and manage all phases of Game Design including concept inception, game systems & mechanics, story creation, level design, and game flow.
• Manage rapid prototyping and proof of concept development for assigned projects.
• Ensure that iWin products are designed and developed to meet all established standards for quality, timeliness, budget, technological objectives, and feature set.
• Keep current on industry knowledge of competitive games, successful genres, popular 'fun' mechanics, and consumer demographics within the casual game market.
• Naturally predisposed toward collaboration, invitation of peer review, and critiquing others' work in a motivating way.
• Able to identify franchise and brand extension opportunities.
• Capable of communicating complex game designs clearly and succinctly to both dev teams and internal leadership.
• Collaborate with Producers on hiring of additional designers, artists, and writers to fill any openings on your projects.
• Reports to the Vice President of Creative.

Qualifications:

• A high level of creativity with extensive knowledge of the Casual Game Industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in game design with significant experience in casual, social, and mass market categories.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience creating game concepts, systems & mechanics, story implementation, etc.
• Experience leading design creation and implementation, working with both internal and external development teams.
• A complete understanding and extensive experience in the planning, production and development of games; must be able to prioritize tasks and assign resources effectively.
• Must possess a high level of ownership, enthusiasm, and collaborative temperament.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Must be able to provide samples of design work at multiple phases of development - concept presentations, GDD's, prototypes / first playables, etc.

Hours and Compensation:

• Contract or Full Time Salaried.
• Compensation commensurate with experience.
