How to Find Free and Sale Games

Hi all,

Other than checking the iWin homepage every day, probably the best way to keep up with all the new games including the Free and Steals & Deals games is to install the iWin toolbar.

I update it with the daily game every single day, including weekends. The daily games menu shows (and links to) all the new games released in the past month.

There's also a button/menu called Sale & Free that I update with the new Steals & Deals games every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and every Thursday with the 2 new free games. The Bargains drop down menu also shows all the Steals & Deals and Free games for the past month.

I also update twice a week when new items are added to Hotel iWin.

So that's a lot of information right at your fingertips! Or mousetip...

Download the iWin Toolbar for Firefox
Download the iWin Toolbar for Internet Explorer

Some folks have stated that they don't want yet another thing on their browser, but if you don't want your browser cluttered up, it's really easy to hide any toolbar you have installed by simply right clicking on the toolbar and unchecking what you want to hide. Then when you WANT to see it, just right click again and check it.

You can also follow iWin on Twitter.

I tweet the new daily, Steals & Deals and Free games every weekday, however that's sometimes a little sporadic since Twitter can be a little wonky during peak hours.

They need to add the Bargains button to the game manager.

You can download the toolbar from the iWin site to your IE browser 7 or 8. If you will read Terrie's post above, she gives instructions has to hide the toolbar and how to restore it.

I cannot add the toolbar. I click the link and nothing happens. Can someone just post the free games for this week and last week?

The toolbar is kind of tricky. I was told by iWin that you are given the option of installing the toolbar when you are installing the game manager. If you didn't ask for it to be installed when you installed your game manager, the way to get it is to uninstall and reinstall the game manager so you can say yes to installing the toolbar. You can find out how to uninstall and reinstall your game manager from the Knowledge Base located in the Customer Support Center which can be accessed from the blue "Suport" tab on the upper right corner of your game manager.

The other option is to go to the top of this forum and click on the "Twitter" link that Terrie has provided. You will be taken to Terrie's twitter page and it will list all the latest releases, free games, and steals and deals that Terrie has listed. You do NOT have to join twitter to get this page. Chances are that if there is no listing for free games or steals and deals, etc., for today and it is not on Twitter or on the list under the toolbar, it means that Terrie has not updated the information yet.

Thanks - Goofy

I don't understand why I need the iWin toolbar to find free and sale games. There are tabs for "Free Games" and "Steals & Deals" on the games manager and neither has had anything added since July. If these tabs are no longer accurate they should be removed; as it is this is just too confusing.

If you will read my previous post, you do not need the toolbar to find out what the free games are. You can also click on the link on page one of this topic for Terrie's twitter page to see her latest postings, i.e., free games and steals and deals. And as I said, you do not need to join Twitter to see her page. And since Terrie is the one who posts the latest deals and free games, if they are not listed on the toolbar or on her Twitter page, then she has not updated it yet. Moderators and forum members have no control over what is or isn't listed. Thanks - Goofy

I read your previous post and I can't find any link for Terrie's twitter page. I still don't understand why everyone is talking about free games and steals and deals that are not listed on the tabs for those subjects.

The link to Twitter IS in the very first panel of this thread, "Follow iWin on Twitter". Hyperlinks on iWin.com are in sky blue.

For non-subscription users, free games are those which can be played in an unlimited capacity with the exception of advertisements displaying during gameplay. For Club iWin and Club iWin All Access members, one game per month is released free of charge. It can be found on Terrie's Twitter page, the Toolbar, in the Steals & Deals section, and on your account page which is accessed by clicking on your avatar in the upper left hand corner of the Game Manager and choosing, Club iWin Account Information. The games of Steals & Deals are priced for Club iWin subscribers only. Non-members can purchase theses games but not at the discounted rate.

While it is not necessary to download the toolbar or click on the Twitter link to see the games added to Steals & Deals or the free game for subscribers every month, they are a convenience provided by iWin. You do not have to have a Twitter account to view Terrie's page. I hope I have clarified these topics for you.

When using venues like this one which involves HTML and BBC, direct pasting of exhibits from your computer does not work. You must first upload the picture to a online photo album site and paste the link of that picture on the photo site into a forum message.

Here is the link: follow iWin on Twitter

The game for this month is Sheep's Quest. I found it by looking in my Club iWin Account Information.

Hi Brian - if you will look at the first post in this topic posted by Terrie, it shows where you can access the information regarding free games. You can either click on the tab on the toolbar, or by clicking on the blue link for Twitter = Follow iWin on Twitter. You do NOT have to join twitter to see Terrie’s twitter page. Either of these sources will provide you with the information re free games and steals and deals. Keep in mind that it is Terrie that updates the toolbar and the twitter page. Nobody else has access to the inforumation before she does so if a free game or a S&D games is not shown on the date you expected, it is because Terrie has not yet posted the information. Thanks - Goofy

As I have said repeatedly in this thread as well as others, Terrie posts the information regarding new free games and steals on her twitter page and the toolbar. Keep in mind that nobody else has access to the inforumation before she does so if a free game or a S&D games is not shown on the date you expected, it is because Terrie has not yet posted the information. In the case of Hotel Mogul, the issue has been brought to her attention and should be remedied shortly Thanks - Goofy

well as i checked repeatedly and obviously you have not been listening to the posts

THERE IS NO UPDATE .

no update on twitter and no update on the i win toolbar . of course this is not a problem for me but i really thought maybe something is wrong since it happens sometimes that she posts a bit later but i have never seen her that late

And as I have said repeatedly and you have not been reading the posts, Terrie is the one who posts the new free games and steals and deals. And as I have said repeatedly, Terrie is the only who has access to this information and so she is the only one who can update the toolbar and/or the twitter page. And as I have said repeatedly, if there are no new updates in either place, it is because Terrie has not posted any updates. Whether she is late or is overwhelmed by her other duties (there are plenty by the way, her plate is much fuller than you may think), is something completely out of the control of moderators and/or other members. And you answered your own complaint. She's late, she's very very late. Where's that white rabbit, Dex? Thank you - Goofy

The iWin staff works as a team so when a new upgrade is being formulated, features and/or changes are being made, and then the upgrade is released, they are all aware of and make efforts to address the issues, attempt to fix the glitches, and make every effort to make sure people can use the upgrade, play their games, access their hotel room, etc. And, as you may know, the recent upgrade has a few bugs to work out and the team is working to make sure those glitches can be resolved as soon as possible. Terrie will, most likely, be able to address issues that are not as crucial, such as listing free games, as soon as possible once things are running smoothly again.

To prevent any confusion for those who may be using the toolbar, Terrie's listing of 11/18 Mah Jongg Artifacts 2 - 0 iCoins is not an error. What it indicates is that this game is this month's free game for Club iWin members and can be accessed from the Account Information screen by clicking on the game's link. When on the game's home page, be sure to click on the blue tab "Free for Club iWin Members" rather than the orange download tab. Thanks - Goofy

First of all, you are posting in a user-based forum so iWin will not address your request. Secondly, iWin can only make the games it produces freeplay not those games produced by others. If the companies who produce the games you've mentioned say in their contract, these games are to be "Purchase Only", iWin must abide by that company's wishes in the contractual agreement or be sued. Therefore, a user's request for freeplay games, cannot be honored.

I have only just realised that there are free games avaiable to iwin members. I was reading through the threads on this page and when I went to the membership page and found the free game I clicked where is said free to iwin members but it then wanted to charge me 7$ for 1000 icoins - that is not free in my book.

The game is free but it sounds like the cost of the backup cd to me...on the order form, the 1st line is for the game itself and the next line shows the backup cd, which can only be ordered on initial purchase. Right beside the cd line, there is a button where you can remove the backup cd from your order if you dont want it. Do that and you will see that the cost is $.00...Dee, volunteer moderator

No that's not it. It said the game was 0 icoins, the CD was 0 icoins and under that it said to buy 1000 icoins to complete the order.

Just had another look and even though it said 0 icoins for the CD I removed it any way and it worked. So thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I have been trying to play some of the "free" games, but they keep asking that I purchase 1 of three types of passes. Do you have to pay to play the games on this site one way or another?

NO the free games are free to play, with ads. The screen you get when you leave the game shows you the different things you can do to play without the ads. If you're ok with playing free and having the ads pop up, then just play and don't worry about those options...Hey, iWin is a business so they have to at least show you their membership plans...seems only fair...lol...Dee, volunteer moderator
