Game Description

Post Mortem - The White Case immerses you in the beautiful but deadly city of Paris in the 1920's. You play as Gus MacPherson - A retired American detective who wants nothing more than to forget his past and pursue a quiet life of painting in the city of lights. Then Sophia Blake knocks on his door. Beautiful, mysterious, and in need of his help. Looks like that quiet life will have to wait until one more case has been solved... You're on the case with Post Mortem - The White Case.

It can work in VISTA. You need to go to your control panel and turn off User Account Controls, default is on. See more See less

This game looks terrific. Just the type of game I love. Unfortunately, I can only rate it one star overall. This is soley due to the fact that, after a nearly 2 hour download, the game only makes it to the start screen before automatically closing. Can't rate well what I can't even play. Sorry, iWin, but your games must keep up with the times. I don't love having Vista, but that's no excuse for your games not to work on the system. A warning of some sort, outside of player reviews, would be extremely helpful for games that don't support Vista. And please, don't point to the system requirements. It should be plainly on the page, on it's own. I'd love my 2 hours back now. See more See less

This is the starter to the well known and appraised series of Still Life. You will want to definetly start with Post Mortem as this game gives you all the background story to the Grandfather of the heroine in Still Life. This is also the game from the famous Microids publisher, credited with many top notch adventure titles like Syberia 1 and 2, Sinking Island, and Paradise. The game was originally release back in 2003 for us North American gamers. While the graphics and UI feels dated, this has a very strong dark story that rivals many similar games of today. While I don't want to spoil the story for you, your basically a retired detective and an unknown client has come to you asking for you to take on a job. This is all tied into Jack the Ripper and your search for him. Just a warning, this game is very ggraphic, even for todays stanards. People are mutilated and beheaded and you do see some clips showing such. If your not offended by this, your in for a big treat! DiGGY DOO! See more See less
