Age of Japan 2 is a straight match 3 game with some unique powerups. The plus for this game is the capability of making matches while there is activity elsewhere on the board. The player has a choice of runes, mini pictures or jewels. With some of the backgrounds, the mini pictures blend in but the jewels have exact colored runes only different shapes which makes using them challenging. There is no reward for matching 4 or 5 runes. Gameplay earns the player points towards purchasing bonuses or equipping the warrior with armor pieces which also perform actions on the board. Matches during play power up the armor pieces. The accompanying story in arcade play is difficult to understand most likely because it's translated into English but it has no bearing on gameplay. If you're looking for straight match 3 play with no villages to build, this game will do nicely.

This game may have been around a long time, but I found it quite fun to play. Once you get into playing and picking up bonuses the playing becames really fun. It is a timed game but goes fairly fast and it's not before you know it.
Downloading takes no time at all.
I give it a thumps up.

This game is like a lot of other games out there but it is very addictive. Love these sort of games. At first it seems lame then gets harder. Also remembering what each bonus does is a little tricky. Never did figure out how they came up with money amount but its a cute game. Will wait til it goes on sale though.

I think this game is ok. It's basically a classic match 3 game with a random story line which I didn't understand at all. It's entertaining for about half an hour but then it just gets boring.

Tedious game with music which is more Chinese than Japanese. Weak story line. While the dialog is pretty weak, the graphics used during the dialog are even weaker. In the 20 minutes I played there was no shift from the same samurai warrior in the same pose with the same music. Won't play the entire hour much less purchase this game.

If this were just a match 3 I would say its not so bad. It aside from new looks to the same bonus you got in the first game not much has changed. I am not sure who wrote the story between levels, but I could not really make heads or tales of what they were trying to say. Over all it is a time waster, but not unpleasant. Play the trial and walk away with your opals delete it and move on to the next game.

I was underwhelmed with this game. It started off with a bang and a lot of promise but fell short half way through the game. A quick play and kind of easy. If you want to relax and rest your weary brain, then this game is for you.
