I have played it as an evaluation and I loved it. It is very challenging due to the power outages. You must complete the goals and still keep the juice up. You can continue building, buying, selling and such while power is out, but you get no rent. I can't wait to buy it!

It's another step up from the last 3 games. There are many variations of play, oodles of challenge, days of fun, and replay-ability. Power utilities have been thrown into the mix and are the most crucial component. This new component makes it all new and more challenging. The Campaign site has 4 levels- Tutorial, Main-45 levels, Challenge-10 levels, and Expert. I completed the Main with all expert scores, but had to play each a few to several times. Sometimes you had to think outside-the-box, but for most my strategy worked basically the same. The 1st level of the Challenge Campaign was very hard to achieve expert. The other 3 levels I've played so far after that, were much easier. There is also a Casual Play mode of 6 levels with no time limit, an Awards site for more challenges to work towards, and a High Scores site. The High Score site is worthless with top players winning in a second in the Challenge Campaign. Overall- This is the best and longest game yet.

I have all the build a lot games and I enjoyed them all...although I found I got to the end too quickly..even did the expert games I think there should be way more levels to these games..fun nonetheless

this is the best build a lot game yet!it is a challenging one!you have to keep a good appeal and lots of money while avoiding blackouts.to do this you have to build power stations but they lower your appeal.

Another win for the Build-a-lot folks. They have added a new layer of complexity with having to pay close attention to the balance of happiness in a neighborhood while adding power buildings. The other industrial buildings are even more important than they were in previous versions. With the various kinds of game play offered it is well worth buying.
