I don't know what everyone is complaining about...I had no problems with downloading, no lagging, and the music wasn't too loud or overboring. This had a good story line and a good ending. The wand is always in lower left corner to tap on any top hat to get items. you had to search for cards to fill deck. It was a game that you had to use thought process. Nothing was handed to you. Good game HO's were just fine even though the were used over and over.Enjoy. See more See less
It's a shame so many had trouble with this game, I really liked it. I thought the graphics were great and I liked the story as well. As far as it being dark that could be but I usually play most games like this in the dark that seems to help see things better. See more See less
This game is very slow, dark and tedious. Trying to find what to look for is a headache. I finally gave up in Merlin's house bwcause it wasn't worth the frustration. Also you MUST play the mini games, you don't win the card game you don't pass. See more See less
Wow! What a let down! I have several of the Hoyle games on my PC and they're very good in both quality and playability. But this effort to move into HO games is a disaster! Muddy colored, dark and unclear graphics, annoying music and a frustrating play mechanic. There are no hints outside of HO's and you've gotta fumble around til you find something that moves you on. All thos was dissappointing. The disaster was the card game in which you must find a card that is quickly shuffled around among other cards. You can't skip, you can't advance, and the game gets visually more and more difficult. Sooo, after about 15 min. and many re-tries, I quit, defeated. The poor victim will never be saved, not by me anyway! I can only hope that if Hoyle tries again, they'll move closer to what we expect a current HO game to be. See more See less
