I was always a good speller in school and this gets you thinking again. I enjoyed the game play, and the characters. There are 3 different game plays and I have played the game show and competition so far. I think it's a lot of fun and have purchased the full version. I think it was worth it.

Fun and addicting. Different levels for those who are average to good spellers. Will definitely give your brain a fair work out. I hated to quit playing. Addictive and entertaining.....I will purchase it for my very own.

It was so hard to hear what word they wanted you to spell sometimes. Many words sound like other words.

I loved this challenging game. I chose the intermediate level and had to replay some rounds over. Lots of fun and educational! I really liked the game hosts voices and liked having my character say "Could you please repeat the word".

This game is a good learning tool for children. I would recommend this games in elementary schools, middle schools, and junior high schools. You can choose different modes. Each word is different in each game. That means it's a different game every time you play Spell-Jam Merriam Webster. It's a one of a kind.

Homonyms should not be used in this game. I am an expert speller and missed words because of this. Also missed words because I could not understand the pronunciation. Had to turn off the sound because the contestant spoke at the same time as the person announcing the word. I would not buy this game.

SO FUN! It's is educational and enhances reading and spelling. It has so much good graphics, something that made this game very attractive and fun. Try it out and you will not be sorry. You may not understand the person saying the word but try to.
