I am very picky about my games- I like them to have a solid story and some challenge to them. This game did not disappoint! Probably took me around 8 hours or so to complete (but I didn't exactly time it) so a good bang for my buck. It's a little over the top cheesy at points in terms of the acting but the graphics and challenge more than made up for it. This was my first Mystery Case Files game but it definitely won't be my last. As a side note, the paranormal aspect isn't really my thing at all but I still found it a great game. I won't let small children play it as there are definitely some horror aspects (ghosts, creepy images, skeletons, corpses, etc). See more See less

First, let me say this is the first MCF game I've actually played. I've heard much about them, but just haven't gotten around to them yet. Anyway, the hour trial went quickly. Aside from some minor picky details, ie the psychic chick was driving me crazy with her over the top campiness, I was actually engrossed enough to want to play further on. Disclaimer- I'm not a big fan of the trite paranormally themed games, but if you are a fan, you'll probably not mind any of the many activities themed around paranormal/psychic tasks and jargon. Bonus points for creative use of HO scenes. Also, I'm sure many others will appreciate the map feature used to navigate between locations (as opposed to tedious navigation using the slower directional back and forth movement. So far, so good. As yet, the mini-games are few and average at best, but a repeating HO driven task that is unique to this game makes up for that. Is the game worth the price? I'd say yes, at this point.
