iWin Engages WildTangent's Unique Social Gaming Offering to Expand Consumer Experience
REDMOND, Wash. – June, 2010 – WildTangent is announcing today that social games publisher iWin is incorporating WildTangent's BrandBoost into its growing catalog of Facebook games beginning with one of the fastest growing games on Facebook, Family Feud.
Launching on 6/24, the BrandBoost platform will empower the game's seven million monthly users to unlock complimentary game episodes and other game content by engaging with premium video and interactive rich media ads.
"BrandBoost gives us a scalable advertising model that seamlessly integrates brands into the flow of gameplay while delivering value to players," says Peter Negulescu, president of iWin. "Now we can keep players who might not have the means or desire to purchase episodes involved in the game for longer periods of time."
According to Inside Social Games, a tiny percent of the overall social games population-- well below 10 percent--will ever actually pay for virtual goods or currency, leaving a huge opportunity for brands to step in and help developers monetize the other 90 plus percent of users who are not spending real money.
Facebook recently reviewed the BrandBoost platform for social games and has provided its endorsement of the advertising platform for social games on its site.
"We think this is an ideal way for brands to add value to a gamer's experience" said xyz from Facebook. "Leading brands are looking for ways to build positive dialogue with our users, and WildTangent's BrandBoost creates a real win-win for both advertisers and the gamers that they are benefitting."
Based on the long-running, Emmy Award-winning TV game show, which will launch its 12th season in national syndication with new host Steve Harvey the week of September 13th (check local listings), the Facebook version of Family Feud™ encourages players to give the most popular responses to survey questions previously posed to 100 people. Players can then earn huge bonuses if their Facebook friends help them reach a certain level, as in the famed ‘Fast Money' round. There are eight stages of prizes for players and their friends to unlock and eventually win. There are over eleven thousand survey questions in the game, with new content added every week.

July 20, 2009- San Francisco
iWin, Inc., a leading casual games distributor and publisher, announced the launch of its premium game category with the release of the long-awaited Jewel Quest Mysteries: Trail of the Midnight Heart. The new premium game category is based on iWin’s fundamental belief that high quality games should not be sold at bargain basement prices at launch. After months of consumer and competitive research, iWin has determined that consumers are willing to pay a premium price for newly released, high-production, high- value games. This methodology of selling games is standard life cycle management that is employed across all other forms of entertainment content including music, books, movies and core games.
iWin’s first premium game is Jewel Quest Mysteries: Trail of the Midnight Heart, which can be purchased exclusively at iWin.com for $19.99. Members of iWin’s new membership program, Club iWin, can purchase the game for 2,000 iCoins, which is equivalent to $13.99.
“The original Jewel Quest Mysteries sold nearly 100,000 units at traditional retail for $19.99,” mentions CJ Wolf, iWin’s CEO. “This fact validates that high quality, branded games can capture a higher price point.”
The first weekend of sales for Jewel Quest Mysteries: Trail of the Midnight Heart have wildly exceeded iWin’s expectations and the game broke all sales records both in revenue and units sold. Despite the fact that JQM2 was released at a higher price point it still sold 50% more units than the original with an average sales price of $14.75. Even with a higher average sales price, the conversion rate of 5.6% was significantly higher than the industry average.

Players help Eva uncover relics in eye-catching hidden object screens and all-new scrolling search screens that put the player in the front seat of whizzing planes and a whirlwind adventure.
“We took all the things that worked well from the original hidden object game and added new game mechanics and twists to immerse the players in this innovative puzzle adventure,” said Dennis Cheng, lead producer on the game. “You must now find tools along your journey to unearth precious shards that, when pieced back together, let you enjoy the richness of Jewel Quest, the award-winning match-3 game. And, as you progress through the story, find hidden jewels that will help you buy all new power-ups and uncover the secret behind the midnight heart.”

July 13, 2009 – iWin, Inc., a leading developer and publisher of online casual games, has partnered with FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) to launch Family Feud™: Battle of the Sexes, it was jointly announced today by Peter Traugot, Executive Producer for iWin, and Olivier Delfosse, Director of Interactive for FME. Now available online, the 7th installment of this wildly popular Family Feud casual game franchise is based on the Emmy Award-winning, legendary syndicated game show.
“In deciding to make another Family Feud game, the motivation was obvious: every time I sit down to play, I am baffled about what women think,” said Traugot. “This is a great way to create some friendly competition between the sexes while maintaining the same Family Feud fun fans have come to expect.”
“Family Feud is one of the largest and most recognizable game show franchises in the world and we are thrilled to be releasing a new game,” added Delfosse. “The theme for Family Feud™: Battle of the Sexes should resonate well with its fan base, and players of this game are going to be in for a challenge – and lots of laughs”
Family Feud: Battle of the Sexes features nearly 1,500 brain-busting questions based on the opposite sex. iWin has also made the multi-player version Family Feud: Online Party available for those who are looking to bring the fun to more people. New questions will be added twice a week to ensure the fun is always fresh.
The Family Feud series of games stays true to the show’s format: 100 people are surveyed for each question, resulting in hilarious and oftentimes unforeseen answers. Examples of questions include, “why hasn’t he called when he said he would?” or “what did 37 percent of people surveyed say ruins a passionate moment?” With a variety of questions spanning the dating and relationship arena, Family Feud: Battle of the Sexes will provide fun for hours on end!
Family Feud: Battle of the Sexes is exclusively available on iWin.com, where it can be downloaded with a free fifteen minute trial. Customers of iWin's iCoins service can purchase Family Feud: Battle of the Sexes and all other Family Feud games for 50 percent off.

SAN FRANCISCO – March 11, 2009
iWin, Inc., a leading developer and publisher of online casual games, today announced the launch of Jewel Quest® Solitaire III, an exciting new installment in the hugely popular Jewel Quest® franchise.
In Jewel Quest® Solitaire III, Rupert and Emma's friend, Ratu, discovers a valuable tablet in the ruins of an ancient civilization. Little does Ratu know that this find is just the beginning. When his beloved assistant, Yumi, is inexplicably abducted, Ratu is propelled into a perilous game of cat-and-mouse with Yumi’s treacherous captors.
Unlike most downloadable solitaire games, Jewel Quest Solitaire III uses the Klondike mechanic which is arguably the most classic solitaire game in the world.
“What’s unique about Jewel Quest Solitaire III, “says lead producer, Jacob Rohrer, “is that we were able to grab the key elements of Klondike Solitaire and seamlessly blend them in with new, captivating gameplay, making for a solitaire unlike anything that has ever been in the casual games market to date.”
Adds Executive Producer Peter Traugot, “People who love playing Klondike, will love the power-ups! X-ray vision for unplayed cards, re-shuffling of your stockpile, Wild cards and the ability to ‘unbury’ blocked cards… you never know how your game will turn out!”
In addition to the unique elements of the actual solitaire gameplay, Jewel Quest Solitaire III also gives its players two different types of interstitial play. Borrowing from its namesake, Jewel Quest, between every round of cards, the player is given the opportunity to play a classic Match 3 jewel board. A new element in the Jewel Quest Solitaire has also been introduced. In the Artifact Room, players must find hidden objects and put them in their appropriate place in the room based on a series of intriguing logic puzzles. Once the relics are revealed and placed in their proper order, the player will receive the final clue which will lead them to the elusive emerald.
Jewel Quest Solitaire has 100 Levels of play, 10 gorgeous environments, a fabulous match-3 experience, compelling story and a mystery to solve, giving avid solitaire players more in a single solitaire game than they could ever dream of.
Jewel Quest Solitaire III is currently exclusively available from iWin.com where it can be downloaded with a 60 minute free trial. SAN FRANCISCO – February 3, 2009
iWin, Inc., a leading developer and publisher of online casual games, today announced the launch of P.J. Pride Pet Detective, Destination: Europe™, a sequel to the original hidden object game hit, P.J. Pride Pet Detective.
In P.J. Pride Pet Detective, Destination: Europe™, join P.J. and her beloved niece as they travel through some of Europe’s most exciting cities such as Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. Upon landing on the continent, P.J. and Ashley begin hearing of mysterious sightings of exotic circus animals throughout the area. P.J. Pride Pet Detective is immediately on the case, trying to round up all of the missing animals and return them safely to their owners. But the puzzle becomes more perplexing as P.J. learns that loose animals aren’t the only lingering mystery. Missing diamonds come into the fold and the case turns from strange to sinister.
In addition to a hooking storyline, P.J. Pride Pet Detective, Destination: Europe™ immediately draws the player in with stunning scenes from around the beautiful continent of Europe. “We took a different approach with the way we tackled the search screens,” says Sr. Producer, Dennis Cheng. “Everything was actually composed entirely in 3D first, and then a paint-over layer is added to give the screens a warmer look.”
Cheng continues, “After much user testing, we took the time pressure off of the search screen mode so that the players can take the time to enjoy looking at our search screens and all their beauty, rather than always “working” to just find the necessary items.”
Unlike other hidden object games, in P.J. Pride Pet Detective, Destination: Europe™, the gameplay and the storyline are very tightly integrated. Players will need to keep their wits about them as they dissect some of the story’s foreshadowing against the search list of items. When the mystery of the stolen diamonds is unraveled, the player will actually have to physically look for the clues that tie the story directly to the gameplay.
P.J. Pride Pet Detective, Destination: Europe™ is currently exclusively available from iWin.com where it can be downloaded with a 60 minute free trial. Customers of iWin's iCoins service can purchase all games for up to 65 percent off, in addition to receiving exclusive discounts on other iWin games.

SAN FRANCISCO – September 12, 2008
iWin, Inc., a leading developer and publisher of online casual games, today announced the launch of Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear, one of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful and intriguing games of the year. iWin also announced its Jewel Quest® Mysteries, which combines the thrill of the hidden object gameplay with 6 chances to win $1,000 prizes!
Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear is one of the first games which successfully manages to seamlessly integrate two different game play mechanics into one solid hit game. Borrowing on the huge success of its predecessors, Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear uses the Match 3 gameplay as a complement to the industry-wide favorite hidden object gameplay. In addition to truly magical art, Jewel Quest® Mysteries gives the player more options to customize their gameplay than ever before.
“In Jewel Quest® Mysteries, we created a unique player upgrade system that allows the players to customize their play methods,” said Dennis Cheng, Sr. Producer at iWin. “For example, some players may want to upgrade more time on their clock while others might want extra hints for later in the game. Jewel Quest® Mysteries allows players to play games the way they want.”
As in other Jewel Quest® games, in Jewel Quest® Mysteries, Rupert and Emma are in the center of a mysterious and intriguing battle of good versus bad. They must find the mystical “Emerald Tear” that supposedly gave great “powers” to great leaders throughout history. As Dennis Cheng continues to explain, the storyline in Jewel Quest® Mysteries plays a huge part in the overall success of the game.
“In creating this game, we realized that everything had to fit together, the look, the feel and the story in order for it to be successful. We tried to make sure that all elements of the game make sense in the context of the overall story. There is a reason behind each search location, puzzle, and jewel board, which in the end succeeds in hooking players from the second they begin to play.”
The Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear Sweepstakes begins on September 11, 2008 and runs through October 23, 2008. Players can enter the sweepstakes by downloading the 60 minute free trial of Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear at www.iwin.com. Find the iWin logo in one of the first screens and players will be prompted to enter their name to win! Prizes of $1,000 will be awarded weekly to lucky winners. Good luck!
Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear is currently exclusively available from iWin.com where it can be downloaded with a free one-hour trial. Customers of iWin's iCoins service can purchase Jewel Quest® Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear and other Jewel Quest® games for 50 percent off, in addition to receiving exclusive discounts on other iWin games. Jewel Quest®, Jewel Quest® II and Jewel Quest® Solitaire are available entirely for free at https://www.iwin.com/download/InGameAds-games.

SAN FRANCISCO – August 22, 2008
iWin, Inc., a leading casual games developer and publisher, today announced the official opening of an office in Kiev, Ukraine . The Kiev office is operating with 10 full-time iWin employees with plans to double the size of the office in the next year.
After having worked with several Eastern European engineering contractors for over 2 years, iWin decided that it was time to establish an official base of operations in Eastern Europe. The current full-time staff consists of mainly web and game engineers but iWin has plans to add a game group, which would include adding artists and developers to the group.
“The Kiev office opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for iWin,” says Andy Hieke, iWin’s General Manager of Production. “Not only does this realize tremendous cost savings, but it also adds an excellent central point for an extremely talented set of people to our already solid worldwide group of developers. We have experienced great results over the past two years from our Ukrainian contractors and look forward to working with them in the future as iWin employees.”
Adds Alexander Khilko, Kiev-based software engineer,” Working with iWin for the last two years has been great. We are constantly challenged to perform but in a friendly and open environment. When we first began working with a company that was based in America , no one knew if two offices so far away could work as a cohesive unit. But now, two years later, we are becoming an official iWin office and the future looks bright.”
Both Hieke and Khilko agree that the time difference and communication can prove to be difficult at times, but the positives of the situation much outweigh the negatives. “We have better professional and financial opportunities working with iWin,”says Khilko. Adds Hieke, “Our Kiev office allows iWin to expand our employee base rapidly and with highly qualified and talented people.”

SAN FRANCISCO – July 11, 2008
Gamelab, an award-winning independent game studio and co-publisher iWin, Inc., a leading casual games developer and publisher, today announced the launch of Jojo’s Fashion Show™ 2: Las Cruces, a sequel to last year’s innovative catwalk hit, Jojo’s Fashion Show™.
In Jojo’s Fashion Show™, Jojo Cruz came out of retirement to take the fashion world by storm. With the help of her daughter Rosalind, Jojo used her impeccable eye for matching outfits to brighten runways around the world. In Jojo’s Fashion Show™ 2: Las Cruces, Jojo and Rosalind prepare to launch their highly anticipated joint line “Las Cruces”. Jojo and Rosalind must work together as partners, overcoming all of the challenges that cross their path, including designing for men and snarky fashion critics.
“The designers at Gamelab knew that they didn’t want to mess with the winning formula from the first game,” explains Nathan Fahrenthold, iWin Senior Producer for Jojo’s Fashion Show™ 2: Las Cruces. “Instead they added the most requested feature from the rabid Jojo’s fans, male models. Now players will dress and be scored on both female and male styles. Coupled with the new Photographer Mode, the game is rich with excitement and appeals to a much broader range of players.”
Jojo’s Fashion Show™ uses the hugely popular click management style of gameplay, but manages to innovate leveraging its fashion theme and the skills that are required in the catwalk world. Fashion games have been in the casual games space for some time, but none have been as overwhelmingly embraced as Jojo’s Fashion Show™.
“Unlike other fashion-themed games, you need to actually use your sense of style in order to succeed in both Jojo’s games,” says Eric Zimmerman, Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer at Gamelab. “Gamelab's mission is to invent new ways for people to play and our ongoing collaboration with iWin has allowed us to create fantastic games like Shopmania and the Jojo's series together."
In Jojo’s Fashion Show™ 2: Las Cruces, the player can assemble thousands of different stylish outfits for women and men from hundreds of new clothing items and accessories. For the true fashionista, Jojo’s 2 includes dozens of clothing styles ranging from Sockhop to Prom to Bollywood. Every budding designer can explore their fashion sense in 50 puzzle levels with 25 action levels, which asks the players to photograph stylish outfits that match specific styles.
Jojo’s Fashion Show™ is currently nominated for Best Casual Game for 2007 as well as Action & Arcade Game of the Year.
Jojo’s Fashion Show™ 2: Las Cruces was developed by Gamelab and co-published by iWin, Inc.
